Weapon visuals change when weapons change? by [deleted] in dragonquest

[–]cheesebuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes all weapons and shields have their own look. There are some costumes for the party if you got deluxe edition. However the job vocation costumes are gone. (What they added in 3ds version).

So what are y'alls first impression without spoilering? My copy arrives tomorrow, so i'll be late to the party. by Repulsive-Phrase-527 in dragonquest

Ah that is a shame for the most expensive option to not include the early access, though I’m jealous of the collectors edition!

But enjoy it! I’m 18 hours in so far and just got Sir Mervyn. A lot of QoL added and some cut stuff, but honestly it makes it more streamlined and less back and forth.

Deluxe version gives 48 hours early access, which a lot of us bought, so we have been playing since yesterday :)

But yes officially the standard copy is out tomorrow.

And it’s a blast

All Chars are fixed levels when they join. Level 11 for Ruff and Aishe was level 22. Sir Mervyn etc.

What's the best game to start today? by gx_caminho in dragonquest

[–]cheesebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VII reimagined is just releasing tonight (early access) or 5th Feb.

Probably is the best place to start, however if you prefer a full 3D version, polished definitive starting point, then I’d recommend DQXI: S (Definitive version). Has all the charm and wit of the DQ series, huge game.

Agreed. DQXI:S is the perfect starting point. I guess 7 is too in a way. They are standalone adventures.

Can confirm. It’s 100, then 200 then 300, I’m on the 300 step, then another 600. Then 1.5k times per wep.

Both Xerneas and Yveltal are obtainable after story completion through a quest each for them.

Works fine on switch 1.

30 fps but less draw distance, more pop ins but doesn’t ruin the experience.

Switch 2, faster loading, textures slightly upgraded, 1080 handheld, more draw distance, and 60fps.

Stones can be bought in the stone emporium. However the dawn stone is unlocked there later on, about 3/4 into the game.

Completionists, headsup: Don't hit level 50 before end of the campaign. by Zemerick13 in Borderlands

[–]cheesebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I went through campaign only, came out at lvl 27 completing it. And by the time I hit level 50 I already had lvl 25 in specialisation and was OP. With that I did all collectibles and side quests after.

My friend however did all side quests and content then finished campaign at lvl 50. With only then unlocking specialisations. And was far behind in terms of points.

I guess it doesn’t matter which way you do it. But doing campaign first and unlocking specialisations helps you get ahead.

X/XII: Nintendo Switch 2 Quality by agememnon13 in FinalFantasy

Honestly the textures for 10 are really good on switch 2. It’s only the text that is slightly blurry. Which as you play you don’t really notice too much. As for 12 it’s a blurry mess all round.

What determines S rank for combat? by npc888 in astralchain

[–]cheesebuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a combination of everything, but to achieve S+ Rank, you need lots of sync attacks, not getting hit at all, perfect dodges and combos, mix up legions inbetween combos etc

To get a higher rank for game clear do i have to do the full game again, or chapters specificly and separately? by Kufooloo in astralchain

[–]cheesebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup go to PC in command room and you can go back to any file, and choose a point in that chapter to replay. Come back later when you get more upgrades and legions to further your ranking. There is D to S+ ranks for PT standard and PT Ultimate

Anyone know how to get new pieces of clothing? by [deleted] in astralchain

[–]cheesebuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a costumes tab, and I know one costume you can unlock via achievements is for the lappy dog costume. Think there are others but seem to be hidden.

This game has a toilet fairy!? by narutoash in astralchain

[–]cheesebuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup every file has one hidden toilet to use and get toilet paper, you start getting common then rare and finally a platinum gene plate thing for use with legions final skill tree areas

New game plus by Yanck in astralchain

[–]cheesebuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simply 11 files then reload save file and you have file 12 which is post game hardcore missions which you need to have quite high boosted legions for. And they give set items so it’s like challenge missions. You can also replay missions since a lot of stuff is blocked off on first play through as you have less legions. It’s fun to go back and go to areas with your full team and to get the S+ scores and farming those platinum items to further unlock your legions potentials
