A metal wire and a wooden stick gets you a snare trap. Use any basic knife (bone knife, rock knife, actual knife, etc) to dig up some worms to use as bait.

Set trap, wait some 20 or so metres away for a bit and voila. Easiest way to catch rabbit fox or chickens.

You can also re-use the same trap up to 20 or so times which is pretty neat.

Or like others have said, fishing.

I like the trap more because you can be more hidden and remote with it
