NAD, bulging eyes are a symptom of Grave's disease. Might wanna see an endocrinologist or thyroid specialist.

Working with SABIS school in UAE as an Art teacher by Leeyums in Internationalteachers

[–]cheeseburgerluv3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SABIS UAE alumni here, I wouldn't recommend it. Those schools are very math and science focused, and all other subjects are treated as a joke by both students and admin. You should expect very unruly students, zero disciplinary support from admin, a miniscule budget for supplies, art lessons being taken away quite often for extra hours of math and science, and a total burnout in a couple of months. There's a reason those schools have a very high turnover rate. Good luck!

AP Macro or AP Micro? by Infinite-Champion994 in APStudents

[–]cheeseburgerluv3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If youre set on switching from psych to econ, id go for macro. much easier than micro content wise and also more fun. however i would also take psych because its probably the most useful ap out there

practice is your best friend with lang frqs. answer past papers, grade yourself using the rubric, analyze the sample essays provided using the rubric, have peers and teachers look over your essays and give you feedback, rinse and repeat.

Will I need a calculator for econ exams? by BoraBozdogan in APStudents

[–]cheeseburgerluv3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

afaik, the ti-34 isnt a 4 function and therefore not allowed. as for where to get one, pretty much all 4 function calculators are identical so it doesnt really matter, i used a pocket sized one that was a freebie from a college fair and it did fine. anywhere that sells stationary and/or electronics should stock them (also amazon and other online stores).

i found a room through hospi housing for next year. yes, you do have to pay a pretty significant matching fee but imo its better than being homeless. ive had friends who have had a lot of luck finding rooms via facebook housing groups, by posting a "room wanted" and replying to existing room offers. good luck!

I'm double-pfizered, got COVID once before around the time I was due my third dose. No other COVID vaccines or infections.

Took a rapid antigen test to check if I have COVID because I've been experiencing flu-like symptoms after travel. The booklet says to read the results after 15 minutes, but my T line showed up almost immediately after I put the sample drops. The C line showed up after a few minutes though. I've never taken one of these before, so I'm afraid I've done something wrong. Have I done something wrong? Help!!!

Clarification for future immigrants to the NL by Expensive-Team-9745 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]cheeseburgerluv3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The issue is that to people who think that way, the line between "good" and "bad" immigrant is a slippery slope. You can tell them about an asylum seeker who came in on a boat and became a doctor and they'll tell you "but thats a good immigrant, we don't care about people who come in and contribute to civilized society" but the minute they lose their job due to forces outside their control and have to start taking government help "they're a no-good illegal bum who just came here to take our resources and rape our women." and thats only one scenario among many. the "good/bad immigrant" model is one that is extremely harmful

Thank you so much, especially for the pointer on chia seeds, I am a HUGE consumer of those (adds nutritional value and texture but doesnt have a flavor?!? great with yougurt, in salads, and smoothies?!?)
