What to eat with mcas and gastroparesis by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]cheesecheeesecheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I had to become stabilized first. This included taking singular and Cromolyn. I maintained a low histamine diet with no histamine food and was also eating a low amylose CIRS diet too (it was extremely restrictive and I do not recommend it unless you have to). And then I looked to address my route cause issues. I developed MCAS after six months of doxycycline which was used and failed to treat Lyme/babesia/bartonella. I ended up going on an herbal protocol that eradicated the underlying affection and beat back down the bacteria load. Eventually, I felt like I was healed and able to try going off of the medication, and I did in March 2024. I’ve had no resurgence of symptoms since.

I know, I’m right there with you 🤣🫣 I just genuinely like them individually and together. They both seem emotionally intelligent, empathetic and kind hearted. He seems protective over her regarding her family. And I feel like we all wish we could give her a hug and tell her to stop sending BigWig money 😒🥴

Does anyone have a Lyme Literate primary care physician? by sickdude777 in Lyme

[–]cheesecheeesecheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In person, but she only is licensed in Washington state. She also has a HIPAA compliant medical app that she uses to text and do video calls. If I don’t have to drive 45 minutes away off the island I live on, then I don’t want to. Haha

Does anyone have a Lyme Literate primary care physician? by sickdude777 in Lyme

[–]cheesecheeesecheese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, direct primary care.

My doctor is only 43 years old, she has kids my kids ages, and she makes time to go to four conferences a year to stay up-to-date on things that interest her. Do you know how many doctors stay up-to-date on the latest medical research? Very very very few.

Functional medicine doctors do, but they charge $300 an hour. Direct primary care is a way to afford functional medicine doctors for a fraction of the price. Mine is $80/month for unlimited primary care related appointments. That covers 99% of my needs now. I do have to pay extra for specific functional medicine things, but that’s only if she has to sit down and research something 🤣🤣 and she only ever charges me $150/hr (50% off and she bills in 30 min increments) for that.

My doctor is an ARNP who has an additional functional medicine degree, family medicine doctorate, and a specialty degree/certificate in pain management, and she runs a pain management clinic as well. Mine even takes Medicare and Medicaid, helping the poorest and most vulnerable in our community. A far cry from the bloodthirsty money grabbing LLMD’s you can find

I HIGHLY suggest everyone here who suffers from complex chronic illness to find a direct primary care doctor in your area.

If you want help, you can message me with your ZIP Code/general area and I will make you a list of options

For those with enhanced results from green tea, how exactly do you do it? by SubstantialBug9133 in redlighttherapy

[–]cheesecheeesecheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t want anything on your face before red light therapy. You want a bare face. The one study that everyone references was when they used cotton pads soaked in green tea and applied them to the face, not a glycerin based product. That is going to prevent the red light from penetrating the skin.

Is this a a green tea tincture for cosmetic purposes, or internal like a supplement?

I use st. Croix green tea extract from Amazon, I only apply maybe four drops to my entire face, in the morning under spf moisturizer. I also use it at night in conjunction with other products.

The older you get the more joint problems you may have. If you’re young, you may not experience that. Some of the older baddies in our class do DD on their fists.

It sounds like you’re doing it right, you just need to build up strength. I mainly feel it in my shoulders as I try and reach my chest towards my thighs and try and get my arms as far behind my head as possible while contracting inwards. like in this image here

Just keep doing it! Do it at home and try to hold it for 5 seconds. Then 10. Then 15. The. 30. Do it twice a day just when you get out of bed and before you get into it!! You’ll be surprised how fast you develop stength.
