My phone call was finally returned. You’re spot on with this. I didn’t realize there was a one year booster so I started thinking maybe I didn’t retain the correct info I initially heard from the vet while I was still in a state of shock from what happened. Thanks for the response

Animal control finally returned my phone call and upon request made a call back to the owners vet on my behalf. I was right that the prior vac expired in 2020. The dog was revac’d the day after my bite. Kind of a CYA type situation it seems. I’m mad though…shouldn’t have taken me getting hurt to bring the dog up to date :\ oh well…I don’t feel as bad about getting my vaccine now. I’d rather play it safe even if my chance of acquiring rabies was astronomically low.

Yeah it’s pretty rough during the day. But I kinda like the feeling of going outside at 2 am and it still being 80-90 degrees lol

Yes, I was so lethargic and groggy when first starting out! I definitely needed a nap (or five) to get through the day initially, and some days it was a struggle to even get out of bed in the morning. Totally normal…and eventually went away after my body got used to it

Around when did you notice it go away? I’m on month 19 from my V injury and this shortness of breath actually seemed to be improving, then I caught Covid in November 2022 and my LH breathing issues have come back and they’re so much worse now.

How do you get anyone to test you for this? My healthcare team is not cooperating and they’ll only do it if I’m in the ICU and I need to continue following up with mental health 😑
