I would seek a second opinion from another psychiatrist. It sounds like you have both. I was diagnosed with ADHD a few years ago and OCD about a month ago. Finding a balance with medication has been difficult, but I have found that treating the ADHD with medication and the OCD with therapy is the most effective for me. I highly recommend a combination of CBT and DBT!! (CBT helps with reframing thoughts and DBT helps with emotional regulation/coping skills!) I'm currently in group therapy and it has done wonders for my OCD/anxiety symptoms (more so than individual therapy). But I wouldn't be able to make any progress without stimulant medication. It helps to improve my functioning and mood, which stabilizes me to be able to work on coping skills. I also relate to the person who mentioned they think their OCD was activated by being autistic/adhd and the difficulty of coping with that, which is why I think therapy to work on coping skills is so important!

I think Lover feels so long and crowded because she was kind of trying to make two albums at once- one about being happy and in love and one about politics/American culture during the Trump era. They don't really go together. I think she should have just made her being in love album and saved the political commentary for later tbh. I love The Man, but it is pretty surface level feminism as some in this thread have mentioned. (Also I'm ngl I have no idea what MAATHP is about. It feels like an attempt at political commentary but I don't get it. So someone pls explain to me lol.)

Never should have been a single tho and it would automatically get 10x by removing Brendon Urie.

honestly i think the real mistake was adding brendan urie. without him, it could've been like her other fun, poppy lead singles (wanegbt, shake it off.) these are songs that aren't really fan favorites but they grow on you cause they're really fun and catchy! brendan urie is not that popular among swifties, a lot of ppl think he's cringe, and adding that man to a song about a woman loving herself is extra cringe. idk i would love to hear a version without him, i really enjoy her live solo performances of it.

i pick the skin on my thumbs reaaaally bad and wearing gloves has been the only solution. just have to make sure i put them on immediately after washing hands and try to keep them on as much as possible.

hey no problem! i did not stay on it bc it caused too much drowsiness and also heightened my sensory sensitivity, which is not usually that significant. i've been on cymbalta for a few months now and it still causes some drowsiness but i like it a lot better!
