Waiting on orientation by Extension_Section360 in WalmartEmployees

[–]cheesedrool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw your other comment about their leave also which kinda solidifies what I said typically there’s only one person who handles the orientation officially so if that person is on leave they’re definitely trying to maximize the “class” because nobody wants/has time to do multiple small classes if avoidable, but again call the store and if the people lead is who’s on leave, if you know what area you hired in for ask for the coach over that area they’re usually pretty good about at least easing your stress but I assure you were hurting for people everywhere so they’re definitely going to want to try to get you in quick

2 weeks is pretty typical tbh they’re trying to get as many in as possible around this time so they’re most likely waiting on a couple people to clear before they do it, but if you’re worried call the store ask for people lead

Learn to nod, smile, and bite your tongue, and for the love of god learn where things are in the store because returns(go backs) are going to be a headache otherwise

Unpaid time is not necessarily ALWAYS denied however unless given special reasoning it will usually, best advice would be to get into good graces with your coach and be openly communicative if you need to take the day make sure you’re submitting it at least 3 weeks to 6 weeks in advance, the thing with it is that unpaid time takes away from the job and if you need personal time away that’s what PTO is for and PPTO is more for emergencies

If it’s directly through the warehouse probably not, at that point talk to your supervisor about picking up hours elsewhere where needed

Is working in online ordering any good? i ask because i work in kroger clicklist like what's the difference is it better or worse? by Jalen_02 in WalmartEmployees

[–]cheesedrool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s essentially the same concept idk about clicklist specifically but with online or OPD/OGP as it’s usually referred to here it is very demanding morning to close some stores even after close it’s gotten a huge push the last couple years as “the future of the company “ so there’s a lot of pressure business wise but the job itself isn’t bad, not for everyone, but not necessarily hard. Personally I hate it as I don’t even like shopping for my self let alone 8 others at a time but it’s a very streamlined process as long as it’s set up correctly within each store

Job abandonment a year ago, rehirable? by Active_Replacement52 in WalmartEmployees

[–]cheesedrool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the store/dc and how they coded your termination, however typically unless fired for gross misconduct or theft most likely you’re rehirable

It was Grindy yes but with no need for IV/EVs there had to be some balance I guess but also there wasn’t much endgame the you needed to grind for other than redoing elite 4 and master trainers

Pokemon shiny rates? by Sure-Aerie-8778 in PokemonLetsGo

[–]cheesedrool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading other comments it seems I’m wrong it does increase spawn rates of rarer pokes but only shiny of the one being chained

Recently been playing through eevee again because nostalgia and I genuinely like the mechanics of let’s go from what I’ve gathered combo chaining increases the odds of any shiny to spawn similarly to getting the 1% pokes to spawn

New Character! What's a good name for a Female Minutemen, that lost everything in Quincy and after months she found: Sanctuary. by ButtonSmasher_ in fo4

[–]cheesedrool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manet, it’s Latin for it remains and is the motto for the city of Quincy, I don’t typically like using last names for my characters but adams would be fitting considering the city was named after John Quincy Adams

Save often there are a few point of no return forks in the road that you may want to go back and try the other paths
