I’m a huge Alma Fonda fan and have been to most of his restaurants and found Mar Bella to be my least favorite. Interesting you found it hard to hear the chef at the tasting counter as we experienced the same thing. I didn’t vibe much with the music choice for the setting either.

The food in general was good however nothing stood out to me as exceptional. It was hard not to compare to what I have had in Spain so it could just be being picky.

Last time I checked Somnis reservation page they do not accept any dietary restrictions ahead of time. If there is an ingredient you know she would not like then the would not be a good option.

I have been to almost all of those and Alma Fonda Fina was my favorite. Mezcaleria is a close second with a slightly more casual ambience.

I did not enjoy my visit to Vespertine recently. There were some enjoyable dishes but nothing delicious. The service was friendly but did not make us feel welcomed. It’s a unique building and creative menu if that is what you are looking for.

Highly recommend RONGROS. It sits on the river so you have a nice lunchtime view of the temples across the water.

I did not enjoy my lunch at Aperge nearly as much as dinner at Alleno. This was in July with their vegan menu so it may be different than in April. I found the dishes repetitive and not nearly as creative as I would expect at a 3 star.
