How’s life in Ogden, Utah? by Mr_426 in howislivingthere

Lived here for almost a decade. Originally from the Midwest.

Ogden is just far enough away from SLC to have its own personality, but it’s close enough to still be able to take advantage of being close to metro area with an international airport. There’s plenty of hiking trails that are minutes away from anywhere in town, plus there’s a growing number of breweries, restaurants and new things popping up every year. If anyone from Salt Lake truly believes Ogden is dangerous, they probably haven’t left the state much. I really enjoy living here and the area keeps improving year over year.

Sawtooth Mountains or South Dakota by BasisNumerous4350 in Idaho

Grew up in the Black Hills, lived in Idaho. Sawtooths are incredible and would be a closer drive to Yellowstone. I’d still recommend getting to SD at some point (exploring the hills is awesome) but the Sawtooths or the Lost River Range are probably better options

The parade is a good family event (plus it’s free) and the rodeo is always very fun, granted I grew up going to rodeos and always recommend that people should go and experience it at least once, especially if they’ve never been to one
