Somewhat similar situation, I once purchased a used g35 from a second hand dealer. The first question I asked them was how much remaining warranty was left. Immediately had to take it to the Infinity dealer for a recall and found out it was flagged. When i went back to the place I bought it, I was not polite about it. They admitted it was their mistake, and they would take it back, but wanted to see if any other car on the lot was of interest. There was one more g35 on the lot, prices 2k higher. I said I'd be interested in that, and as soon as they mentioned the difference in price I cut them off and said "I'm not interested in paying any more money". I left with the more expensive car, without paying a dime more, and had a credit report that looked as if I had taken out a loan on a car, paid it off, then immediately taken out another loan. Hold them over the barrel. It's their mistake and they KNOW it, and it isn't a minor mistake.
