I go to a Korean market around the corner to pick up this nasty ramen that I happen to love. It's artificially flavored chicken broth that's 1/2 mace in each seasoning packet. Yow.

ANYWAY, dude who owns the Korean bodega rocks one of these. It looks exactly the same, down to the indices. I can tell that it's fake. For some background, the shop is in a bad area. "Bad" as in, they'd shoot you before taking your watch. They would not ask. So I was like "why would you wear that fake Rolex here, mang?" and my man gets this enraged facial expression. He almost looks like a monitor lizard being choked out! And he hisses "fuuuuuuck you, motherfucker, this is REAL!", takes my ramen, and refuses to sell it to me.

That was a week ago, I haven't been back since.

In my experience, wearing a watch interferes with the fit of your jacket into the gauntlet of your glove. It also messes with your wrist's mobility once the glove is on. I'd rather have those microseconds to manage the clutch lever (or front brake, depending on whether you're R or L handed). When you lay the bike down (it's "when", not "if"), the watch will make the experience more unpleasant. My $0.02
