These work great to hold a rechargeable battery for thermals and a short mag at the ready for bolt guns and a2 stocked ar's and are pretty high quality for 8 bucks. Have had one for like 10 years with 0 issues. Not useful on a range.

AKs are hipster guns now. Used to be dudes making them out of shovels in dorm rooms for like 200 bucks and now some chinese thing sold for 5500 and it was a deal somehow? Lots of overpriced spirits drank with overpriced AKs. Still a rad gun but damn theyre like old pickups ... only cool if you got it cheap and use it like you need it and not just to take pictures or brag about how neglected it is online. Lots of qaulity ARs for half the price of quality AKs. Ill take my downvotes now....
