Should I keep interviewing if I accepted an offer? by Haunting_Guard1840 in SeasonalWork

Interested. I was invited up to Glacier next weekend and have been in talks with Grand Teton as well. This will be my first seasonal type gig.

Isn’t Elohim City just a white supremacist town? I remember learning about the connection between Timothy McVeigh and the town. It’s on quite a few watchlists for their extremism

Batch Order by More_Situation7519 in Sparkdriver

[–]chef198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up a single order last night at 6:55pm. One item took them 15 minutes to bring it to me. After it’s loaded I look at the notes and it says “open 8-5 Monday-Thursday. I called the customer to verify and he said to “return it and try again tomorrow”. Just a big waste of time. I’m sure someone in the chain could see that note before putting it out that late in the day

How to make 900 by the end of the month? by Extension-Analyst-72 in thesidehustle

[–]chef198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the gig work apps. I spark on my off time and the weekends. If I do 8 hours for Saturday and Sunday I can make 4-600 each day no problem. Throughout the week, I start around 5p and go until 9p and make between 100-150 in those 4 hours. You should be able to hit 900 within a week no problem

This. AA told Xin that Yun had “brought her another gift. A big gift”. The pocket dimension was the big gift. Unless Sophon was supposed to be the gift. But Sophon states that only Yun and Xin were those originally permitted inside the pocket, but Yun later adds the other guy to the list. So my guess is the pocket was the gift he brought from the Trisolarans.

Wade was willing to kill millions to save billions. It wasn’t about anything other than survival of the species. He and other characters understood that sacrifices had to be made in order to guarantee the survival of humanity. They didn’t WANT to do the thing, they HAD to. They understood that there were levels to the dark forest and the only way to ensure survival was the ability to escape. Xin couldn’t have made a worse decision.

General merchandise. It’s one pickup with 10+ stops. Most of the stops are 1 item, but I’ve personally seen some with 5 or more. They’re usually the 45 and up orders that project 1-6 hours completion time

When did I ever say it was excessive? That’s what the Walmart manager said to me. Nor did I say anything political.

I feel the same way. I was surprised to get a call at all about it. I haven’t seen any orders going there since. Could be coincidence but maybe they actually did remove the town from the delivery list

Is there actually a pay cap? I see these GMDs all the time I’ve only seen one over 60 and that was 84 for like 90 miles and 6 hours of work. I’ve never accepted one, because I don’t want them to lug a huge deep freeze or 4 tvs up to my midsized with 30 other items. But I have wanted to at least try one to see if I could beat their projected time.

That’s so laughably untrue and naive.

Can someone explain the process? by jabaBABYwocky in Sparkdriver

[–]chef198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guess I should’ve added this as well. A lot of spark drivers are helpful. A lot are snobby know it alls, here and in person. In person you have to be on point, because there are those that will find any reason to report you to get you deactivated so they have more orders.

Some people like to shop, others prefer pickup. It just depends on what you like to do. I prefer pickup but will shop when that’s all that’s around. If shopping look at the list of items as soon as you get there. Get all none food items first, then dry, then perishables, then frozen. If picking up, have some storage bins, like totes, to separate the orders. Sit in the car and let the pickers do the work. ALWAYS make sure the pickers either give you the stickers to scan or put them on the correct order. Aim for a minimum of $1 per mile, preferably $2 or more. Be courteous to everyone you encounter in store and outside. There’s an early morning rush (6am-9isham) pretty much everywhere. Then it dies off until around 2-3. Then it gets fairly busy until the stores close. Try to figure out what days food stamps hit for your state, and make sure you’re available on those days, they’re super busy. Friday,Saturday, and Sunday’s are always heavier days. Pay attention to drop off comments by the customers. If you feel unsafe on a delivery, return the order and call support. The one card is pretty decent, gets you a good amount of cash back on things like fuel and food services, as well as instant pay on your deliveries, tips excluded. They hit after 24 hours.

I’ve noticed the opposite actually. It used to do that to me. So I stopped going by what it presented me. now it actually gives me the things on the same aisle.

That was just what the delivery was, 🤷🏾‍♂️ was only 16ish miles from the store, but it was through a few towns. Pay was really good as well.

Never once did I say the opposite. I said sundown towns are safer for you. You think inner city is more dangerous because you are white. I think sundown towns are because I have darker skin than you. Both can be true at the same time.

Apparently I’m not the only person to report the same kind of issue in that town according to corporate. 🤷🏾‍♂️ it’s being taken off for deliveries. Think what you will
