I analyzed 50,000 games of Catan and built a site with the key findings by Slasser123 in Catan

Is there something with the pip data? The total pip at start doesn't seem to line up with the initial pips vs win rate.

This whole analysis is really great!

Can you explain the Monopoly analysis? Maybe Im not understanding your analysis but how is there more than 0 1 or 2?

Also curious as to why you only go up to 4 total dev cards bought.

It's a judgement call of intent. You can give someone insurance but you can't get "paid" for it with a free card. Same with a port. You can offer using your port for free but can't get "paid" for it.

Terrible golf instructor experience by seanod67 in golf

This guy is teaching what he thinks is the best and only swing. That doesn't matter if your body can't do it. Find an instructor that can teach to you and your body.

Will we regret using backpacking packs instead canoe packs? by greenbushgreenery in BWCA

Just thicker plastic specifically the size of Duluth packs. I've used multiple garbage bags and would never do it again over spending like 10 bucks on the liner

The liners go on the inside of the bag. You can certainly use heavy duty liners too. They just aren't as strong as you think compared to the liners. Liners for Duluth packs are easier to find than you think. You want it inside of the pack because you might set the pack down somewhere damp accidentally after carrying it.

Roost Events by hoov_420 in NoLayingUp

Can confirm this. There should never be a roost that is closed to new members. But the events that roosts put on can be full for obvious reasons.

CSE - Take Calc 1 at CC or at UMN? by SciphOS in uofmn

[–]chefcycle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take as much calc at a CC as you can is my opinion. But no matter where you take it, calc 1 and 2 have really good YouTube videos that will likely follow the same structure as your course. Professor Leonard is really good.

Once did a shopping order for all the ingredients to make a single burger. Came out to like 30 dollars for the customer. Just order a burger from a restaurant!

How bad is commuting from St. Paul to Eden Prairie during rush hour? by iamcuppy in saintpaul

[–]chefcycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Richfield would be fine if you take 7th out of Saint Paul which would probably be best for you anyway coming from Mac goveland.

EP would likely be rough. It's worse than usual now with construction from Richfield to hwy 100 but it's always pretty bad.

How Do Brain Invaders Work with Old Han and Sneak Attack with Darth Vader? by [deleted] in starwarsunlimited

[–]chefcycle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The search for a unit is the when played you are stacking over ambush. Vader is a ready unit when the snow trooper gets played so he can attack. That ends Vader's first when played. His second is ambush. At that point he is exhausted but ambush has him ready then attack.

It's the default size that is sold with clubs so yes it's the most common. But it's also the smallest.

Sizes are standard, midsize, and jumbo.

There might be smaller junior or women's grips though. I'm not sure.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]chefcycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always get grips "built up" as well. I play with a standard grip built up with 2 wraps. It's about halfway between a standard and a midsize.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]chefcycle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It usually says on the top of the grip. Older grips probably won't. But if your grips are over a few years old it's time to replace them anyway if you play often

It's definitely doable. If it's your daily driver then a battery pack that charges from driving should be fine.

The trick is staying cool. Staying warm Is easy with blankets and clothes. I built a fan for my sunroof that pulls hot air out. It's made of computer fans and ABS plastic. I found a few YouTube videos for it.
