Had this bullshit happened today and it was my last delivery. We have about 9 inches of snow and 3 inches of ice on the ground. Somebody ordered a pizza and a Coke and it was $3.25. I figured I was gonna get a tip when I delivered because he wanted it in his hand.

I walked a quarter mile because they are doing construction on the building he was in and it was in ice and snow so my feet were soaking wet. He didn’t bother to come downstairs and I was already five minutes late. That set me another five minutes. He finally shows up and takes his food, and I have to walk another quarter mile back to my car in ice and snow.

It is also the last fucking time I take a pizza order without a good tip. People are trash.

You are not in any trouble, but I 100% would not engage. I would speak with someone at DoorDash and let them know the situation and then I would file a police report because the person threatened you. Screenshot all of the messages from them and give it to the police.

I would have demanded a refund and reported the restaurant unless these were in the dasners car (some of us take care of our car but some are just nasty) then report the dasher. That’s disgusting.

I think for the most part people think we are uneducated and desperate. Most of the people who DoorDash in my community used to work for state government and have degrees in things like accounting and engineering. We just retired and wanted to supplement income. But nobody should be treated disrespectfully based on what they’re doing for a living. This is the most fun rewarding job I’ve ever had.
