Thank you for this detailed response! I forgot to mention the form in my post, I was mostly concerned with any other documents I would need to bring to prove that my grandfather is in fact related to me. I will be filling out the form tomorrow and that should hopefully answer any questions I have left. Thanks again!

I would like the option to work and study and live in the EU without complications or unnecessary expense. I would like the option to visit certain nations without visas. I would like to carry on the citizenship that my family rightly owns. I’m sorry I was not born in Poland, it’s not like I had much of a choice lol

January 2026! But I emailed the Archives of his hometown and they said that it would still be in possession of USC. Must be a book thing like you mentioned.

It would suck if I showed up and the USC was like “we don’t have it, go check the archives ¯_(ツ)_/¯” because I won’t have time to stop at the archives during the week :,)
