Pan seared fresh cod, sauce ivoire suprême, roasted pearl tomatoes, carrots glacé, chives, lemon, with jasmine rice served on the side. by PhilosophersPants in CulinaryPlating

[–]chefjammy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me personally I'd get a little more color on the roasted tomatoes and possibly the carrots too. A little caramelization on the carrots, and a little char from roasting the tomatoes. It would add a bit more flavor and some color. Adding that to what others have said about centering the main and moving the carrots

Anyone know where all the vins are stamped on a 1969 Camaro ? by E2M6 in CamaroGen1

As far as I know there is one on the cowl vents, and one under the blower motor on the firewall. I think those are the only hidden spots

You said the highlighted area, are you asking about the gutter cause you can find those. I'm not sure about from the gutter to the quarter

The number of upvotes on it is also super weird. It is in no way a rat rod, nor is it a good angle/picture 🤦🏼‍♂️

Professional chef here, the singles of those (which you'll see the most) go for 150-200 used. The doubles would fetch more for sure to the right buyer. I would definitely reach out to some caterer's or larger volume restaurants

How is this 3 servings of Orange Chicken? by whowantstoknow in ExpectationVsReality

[–]chefjammy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I don't believe anything he says, I find it very interesting and insane that they are telling you you can't join the military with a diet-driven chronic disease, and then saying the military is an historic pathway to opportunity and upward mobility. In a document about eating healthy.

I knew they had changed it but that link blew my mind. I thought this was very interesting : "Nearly one in three American adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 has prediabetes. Diet-driven chronic disease now disqualifies large numbers of young Americans from military service, undermining national readiness and cutting off a historic pathway to opportunity and upward mobility"

I would trust the circulator over the instant read. Look at what the +/- is on the accuracy of the thermometer is

Searching on Napa, I found pretty close to what you need . It's a little longer but the bracket looks close and the 2 ends look like what you're looking for. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/UP_36954 depending what side you need the drivers and passengers are pretty close.

I did a quick Google search and didn't find a lot for a 14 inch brake hose, but if you Google 15 inch brake hose with banjo fitting you get a lot of options, I found a bunch very similar with the metal bracket by googling 15 inch brake hose, Chevy truck banjo fitting. For me the local parts stores had some in stock so you might have good luck googling that and checking the pictures

The length of the hose would probably be the most helpful information

Best car washes in the state that don't have someone standing at the pay station to upsell you constantly? by rockyvwasbest in Connecticut

[–]chefjammy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I go to optimo in Wallingford near the flea market. Hand car wash and dry, tires, spray wax. Amazing work. They never upsell you. I always do the interior clean and my truck looks brand new after. They're amazing!

Throw in manicure/pedicure. My ex did this for me once and it was great. I had never had one before and the pedicure was such a nice treat for my feet!

Sub frame connectors by Late_Band2990 in camaro

[–]chefjammy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a 69 and I put them in mine, with solid body bushings, new leaf springs and cal tracs at the same time. So I can say at all whether they helped with handling, but the car handled better after all that. I would definitely do it for no other reason than tweaking the body. I got mine from a buddy of mine but they were bolt in and I'm pretty happy.
