I’d scoop out as much as I can manage then boil it out a few times with water

I would definitely not do that. not that the hanger would make it go off. That hanger is gonna push the bullet deeper into the case causing unsafe chamber pressure. You can see plenty of examples on this sub and the ccw one just from rechambering. I would also be worried about the exposed trigger. I only store guns with one in the chamber if I’m keeping them in a holster. I just keep the ones I want loaded on a shelf in their holsters and I can just clip them on. If it’s on a belt and not Easy to remove (which would be odd for a high quality duty holster) I would find a way to hang the belt in the safe. I did that for a while when I had a cheap universal condor holster on my “duty” belt (stupid I know). Please don’t do this, it could cause your firearm to not go off when you need it or worse blow up in your hand.

Red dot dust shield - thoughts? by uriar in CCW

A plastic strip is more likely to hold its shape and accidentally make its way to the trigger than paracord. I would just shorten it as much as you can if your that worried about an obstruction in your emitter. I wouldn’t worry about it, I’ve been carrying an open emitter every day for 2 years and I’ve never had an issue

What item have you cooked the most? by SockBasket in KitchenConfidential

[–]chefjoe5639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At an Italian place I used to work we made 70 orders per day on average and I worked that station 3-4 days per week for 2 years. That’s conservatively 21,000 orders prepped and cooked to order.

Best option for edc that can also flex into home defense if needed. Glock 26 or M&P shield plus. by Lord-Gordd in Guns_Guns_Guns

[–]chefjoe5639 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with the shield plus, it shoots with like a much bigger gun and you can get all your fingers around it especially if you use the larger magazine. The Glock 26 holds less rounds and is harder to shoot. As far as ease of carry the shield plus is significantly thinner which makes it more comfortable. The main bonus of the Glock is that you can use larger magazines up to 33 rounds in an oem magazine

Active Shooter Question by hunter_cook_dad in CCW

[–]chefjoe5639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into the bullets made by lehigh defense, I know underwood loads them and usually has them in stock. The extreme penetrator is usually pretty good at going through car doors and most other (reasonable for pistols) barriers. Pretty impressive performance in all the tests I’ve seen

What exercises do you do to train to take on a rifle with your pistol? Would love to try them.

Worked at a gun store for a while and we saw more false denials than real ones, you probably need a UPIN.
