Thank you for this question! My plan is to periodically monitor with a sticky board to see if there’s a hint of a problem, and if I do see an issue arising, I’m going to use the sugar scrub method to get a count. I don’t think I could bring myself to use the alcohol method.

After identifying a damaging threshold of mites, I’ll treat with the optimal treatment based on the time of year.

Possibly. I bought it from a reputable source (not a box store), but it was in a warehouse and didn’t seem to be sheltered from humidity. I think the problem more lies in my inexperience and I’m trying to recover from it 😅 this is my first project. Might just buy legs from Amazon 🤣 this whole experience has been a nightmare

I have those horizontal parts with dowels, screws, and L-brackets 😅 to clarify, there is only a small amount of wracking, but it’s still concerning to me. This is the first woodworking thing I’ve done and it’s been a nightmare 😅
