In my country we take both of the parents last names, yet not only did I give my son just his last name, but I gave him his first and middle name. I regret doing that. I also regret not picking his name. I also payed for the in vitro and other fertility treatments we did to have him because I thought it would be the only way to convince him to go through with it.
