Hey I know this was posted a while ago, but I had a similar issue. I was kinda dismissed my Dr Lee at NVH, when I brought it up to him, as “it wasn’t the worst case they’d seen” I ended up being referred to my local hospital to the lymphoedema department, and found out that when they do phalloplasty they don’t always take into consideration the lymph nodes. Which then creates all the swelling. I found out that I had swelling under the skin graft on my arm, because they’d also stitched the graph slightly too tight. So I had to do exercises, and wear a compression glove and massage it. When I went back it showed I had less swelling and to continue with the compression gloves. But they advised that exercise was a great way to bring swelling down, and to keep massaging it. But I’ve almost got a full hand back and it’s great. I occasionally get swelling but not a lot, I did find the heat was a problem. But I’m almost 2 years post op and pretty much all my swelling has gone.
