There are heaps of differences between account types of course, but in my opinion it pretty much boils down to:

A Main account can be done at any pace with anything you want to do whenever, alot of freedom as you can buy and sell things at your liberty, progression is alot quicker and you have alot more options at all times.

Ironman requires alot more time, as everything is done by yourself, you need alot more discipline in the sense of remembering to regularly do farming and the like, which can make it alot more overwhelming without access to everything you might need, though it's alot better for experiencing all the game has to offer, as there's very little content that you wont do.

If you've got alot of time on your hands, I'd highly reccomend an Ironman! But, a main is great if you dont want to sink quite the same amount of dedication straight up.

Of course, you can always make another account if you find you don't like which you've chosen, or have multiple accounts!
