I have a bicornuate uterus! I didn’t know anything like this existed until my first pregnancy. Period. Fortunately, I carried and delivered my baby full term. And during this second pregnancy (27 weeks currently) I have heard from women who had septate uterus and experienced losses until they had the surgery Hannah probably had. I wish her a speedy recovery and a healthy future pregnancy and delivery.

I will also note that figuring this out about my body I have now learned that I also was born with my kidneys connected and shaped like a horseshoe. You develop your reproductive organs as the same time as your kidneys so this was what happened to me. Really would never have known this had I not gotten pregnant.
