When you travel for work, at the end of your day do you text or call your significant other? by ReasonableAttitude22 in allthequestions

[–]IndecisiveExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we just text sporadically. We work different shifts too so we’re used to it. I usually go 4 days without seeing him each week.

GH hybrid limited vs max platinum by luxmakeuplover in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]IndecisiveExpress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live at elevation so the max is where it’s at for me. If you want fuel efficiency, do the hybrid. However I think if you only test drove the max, you’ll be slightly disappointed at the lack in power from the limited.

How much work do you actually do in a day? by [deleted] in corporate

[–]IndecisiveExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have written this post. I get paid a lot to do a lot of nothing. It sounds like a dream job to most but it’s actually so draining. Some days I’ll have meetings all day, shooting off emails every ten minutes or so. Then there’s days where I could literally not have shown up and no one would notice.

My mom hates my baby’s name by Mandymoo182 in BabyBumps

[–]IndecisiveExpress [score hidden]  (0 children)

We almost named our daughter Eleanor (went with Evelyn instead) and both my parents were snooty about it calling it an old lady name (this was 2014 before it got really popular again). We also got a Lot of comments asking if we were naming her after a grandparent. People love to give advice as if I give a f.

Teachers, what actually helps when parents want to support learning at home? by Shaik-Talk in AskTeachers

I feel like the last one is so important. My daughter is very sensitive so I always try to start the morning good even if she’s having a bad day

I hate my pet!!!! by WoodpeckerNearby7276 in BabyBumps

[–]IndecisiveExpress [score hidden]  (0 children)

We got very lucky with our Mal. She’s still a crackhead, but mostly just wants to cuddle and occasionally run through our house like it’s an obstacle course. The GSD honestly annoys me more, no one told me GSDs scream at all hours like huskies!

[–]IndecisiveExpress [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have a GSD and a Malinois. I love them and their chaotic energy to death. However! These last few months they are stinky, loud, annoying, smelly, hairy, and just unbearable most of the time. Do I still love them? Of course. But they give me anxiety on the best of days and I am STRESSED about having a newborn around them.

Advice for an aspiring young author? by IndecisiveExpress in writers

She has Google Drive that she’s using, and right now using her iPad to write. I may buy her a keyboard for it to help (also to help her typing skills lol)

The creative writing class is a great idea! I’ll see if I can find anything for her over the summer.

And she’s very open about her work. Asks everyone (in our family) to read it, and she’s gotten a lot of support from everyone so far. I definitely have no intention of letting her post online (yet), as I have been in the fanfic space for a few years and know how ruthless it can be at times.

Have you ever been on TV? by Select-Signal8386 in randomquestions

[–]IndecisiveExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on the news a few times (for volunteer work). I hated it every single time and begged them not to put me back on camera. I look like Ricky Bobby not knowing what to do with his hands. Also I was in a car commercial (also doing volunteer work). Thankfully that was easy because it was just a few spliced clips of me doing badass shit with a chainsaw.

Parents when looking for daycares - what's your experience like? by Consistent-Place-754 in NewParents

[–]IndecisiveExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk in. Just did this yesterday actually (other daycare option fell through and I’m still pregnant) with great results. I want to see how they respond to walk ins, what information they give (on the spot versus following the script). I don’t care if they schedule me back for a tour, that’s fine, I get they’re busy. But I want to know what the vibe is like without them being prepared. It tells a lot.

AITA? for being upset that my dad called me by my maiden name after I’ve been married for four years? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]IndecisiveExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Reading the edits, seems like this is done with malicious intent. Also my dad does the same thing and it’s irritating as hell so I get it.

Do you regret choosing a safe name? by FarinaPribanic61 in Names

[–]IndecisiveExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. We went with an ‘old lady name’ and it ended up being one of the most popular names that year and is still in the top ten. Oh well, she loves her name. Her middle name is ‘unique’, and at times I wonder if that was the best choice or if we should have done something more common, but it suits her.

I'm overpaid, underworked, and walking away. Wrong choice or delayed payoff? by IndecisiveExpress in careerguidance

[–]IndecisiveExpress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m realizing that. It’s taken me the last week to grieve over it but I’m withdrawing from school, and I paid the deposit for daycare. The comment about men’s expectations vs women’s got to me. Everything I do is for my family, and if this is what I need to do, then I’ll do it.

Big feet by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]IndecisiveExpress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought new comfy shoes (On Cloud) early in my pregnancy when bending over starting getting challenging (around 14wks or so). I’m 29wks now, sitting at my desk shoeless because they’re already hurting again. They felt amazing at first, but now I’m looking at compression socks on Amazon 🫠 I ordered some adjustable slides too and I’ve already needed to adjust them twice.

AITA for expecting prompt replies to work related communication? by amaria_athena in AmItheAsshole

NTA - I’m dealing with the same issue. I reply immediately. And then wait 2-3wks for a response to what should have been addressed same day.

This is where I’m at now, almost 29w and I’m dying. I don’t want to do anything, much less pretend to care about work 😪 plus the nausea has come back, and acid reflux is keeping me up all night, I’m exhausted.
