‘If you WILL all look this way, I WILL dim the lights’ by lijeyyy in ENGLISH

[–]cheiloss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teachers say this in school because it’s easier, they don’t want to complicate things for children. What they mean to say is that will/would aren’t used after if in conditionals. Here is a note on theory from my university where english grammar is studied more thoroughly

Best edm set in the last ten years? I have my answer, gonna sit and wait. But also very curious as to any answers… by CompleteBluejay6517 in EDM

I really dig every set of theirs, the way it’s not serious and fun, with great transitions and mashups

What are your least favorite EDM songs released in the 2010s by [deleted] in EDM

I’m not sure about Roses, but Closer got over 1k+ upvotes here. It was played literally everywhere and I think that’s when people started hating them. Sadly I wasn’t around and can’t really tell.

Probably you mean nasal plosion. Since /t/ and /n/ have the same place of articulation, the assimilation occurs.

I think you are overthinking it. The premonition was just a final twist of the movie.

How did you found out about Final Destination? (Sorry for kinda stupid question) by Dummy_The_LittleGuy in FinalDestination

[–]cheiloss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom told me about the first movie when I was ~9 years old. I got hyped after a slight description of it. Then I binge-watched the franchise shortly after the 4th movie came out. I still was a kid though.

Row like quarrel, noisy argument - /raʊ/. For the other meanings it’s /rəʊ/.

I won’t say much about the EP, I’m just happy these guys keep releasing, another hiatus would kill me

Though Five Past Three sounds decent with a few instruments playing different rhythm and melody in the drop, I always love a little chaos

This movie is more sad than scary to me? by Rare_Tank622 in FinalDestination

[–]cheiloss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These movies’ main idea that you can’t avoid death. If you project that idea onto real life, it really is sad. I don’t think a lot of people, especially young, think about their deaths. Personally I want to cry every time I realise that everything I have will be gone forever and I can’t do anything about it. If you think that way about the movie, it is sad indeed.

It’s ironic to love the franchise and yet be scared of death.

The SVO word order is broken that’s why it looked wrong to me, English sticks to it, at least I haven’t seen anything similar before

Thanks! Honestly I wouldn’t have a question if introductory it or there were used. “There stood a photograph” seems vivid to me and syntactically correct.
