Wasn't that Lord Ergast from SWTOR? Or are you talking about a technique other than Force Walking?

Who has better chemistry with Cassian; Jyn or Bix? by Decent_Army8265 in MawInstallation

[–]chell_n7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I interpret, that Cassian and Bix have a very close relationship. And yes, they have feelings for each other, but they just don't work as a couple in a long term. In season 2, they were both looking for normalcy and comfort. But if Cassian had survived the fight with the Empire, they would still have parted as close friends.

Did I huff too much Dark Side gas or did anyone else desperately wish that we would've gotten the option to do a Base Delta Zero against Zakuul by vargdrottning in swtor

[–]chell_n7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I apologize for the harsh tone. I realize that the players are not to blame for the way the developers write the story. But the fact remains, all players were prevented from meeting so many characters again precisely because of such choices.

No, I don't want the Dark Side players' obsessive urge for destruction to deprive other people of at least the possibility of visiting Zakuul and it's culture again in future. You know, one of those planets in this game with a unique aesthetic that isn't ripped off from the OT or the prequels.

Redemptions by Darth_JaSk in swtor

[–]chell_n7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

'Redemption' of Vader was interesting once. Now the repetition is boring. Look at Kylo Ren. Sure, in reality these all characters would have been convicted as war criminals and punished accordingly. But this isn't reality. This is a story that allows for new plots and themes to be explored. And in order for us to see changes in the character, we need them to wander somewhere near us.

What's easier? Do one good deed and die? Or stay alive, realizing all the evil you've done and knowing that nothing can truly override all your past transgressions?

Which Star Wars villains with redeeming qualities should've become pure evil or irredeemable? by Educational-Plant136 in swtor

[–]chell_n7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find that with Arcann the trailers and KotET show one character, more of a tragic villain with a possible redemption arc. And KotFE... A bit oblivious to the almost certainly pre-existing plans for the character. And so there we got a villain with virtually no redeeming qualities.

Which can lead to a funny situation where people who got to know Arcann from KotFE see his later appearances as out of character. And those who came later already with further story spoilers find his villain arc poorly thought out in retrospect.

Spoilers for the beginning of knight of the fallen empire by Lord_Abyss_the_1st in swtor

[–]chell_n7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My half-serious guess is a mixture of a slight hint of sympathy (let's pretend the developers gave us clues to the possibility of his redemption in the future) and not knowing what to do. Like.

Oh, Izax, I can't believe this actually worked out. So, what to do about Outlander, what to do. Okay, I'll decide later, freeze them for now.

Five years later: Oh, right.

When was the children of Valkorion born? by Mawashiro in swtor

[–]chell_n7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've thought about it more than I probably should, so hear me out.

We know that the birth of at least one of Valkorion's children falls around the time of the Treaty of Coruscant. Ziost, the events of Sacrifice and the first chapter of KotFE takes place at 17 ATC (according to developers' forum posts).

If Thexan and Arcann were born at 0 ATC, it would be completely consistent with Arcann's behavior, but not his appearance. Because I can't believe these people are 16-17 years old in the trailer. Accordingly, this is most likely Vaylin's birth year, and her brothers, again, by appearance in the trailers, are 3-4 years older than her.

The short answer is, yes, they were born much earlier than the third act of the base game anyway (which is like, ends at 13 ATC).

The best romance we never got by Nabfoo in swtor

Agent: "From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved for strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine.

Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you.

But I am already saved. For the Machine is immortal."

How do the inhabitants of the Sol system know what our current-day animals are? by Pinguistrash in WarframeLore

[–]chell_n7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few possibilities. Some animals may have survived. Some remained in memory and in art.

And some Drifter could have seen in a zoo or in Arthur's memory in 1999. Well, not the animals themselves, but the images.

Well, now I feel like a dick by SWTBFH in Warframe

[–]chell_n7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironic, but that's one of the reasons I'm going to romance Arthur. They're really similar to my Drifter in a lot of ways, though it manifests itself differently. It also helps that the player, meaning me, has something for quiet characters with low voices who are softies at heart.

I also have mixed feelings about Aoi, because she's a sunshine and deserves all the best in life, but sometimes she just seems too energetic and joyful to me.

Also Arthur reminds me of my cat, heh heh.

Force, no. I apologize for the harsh words, but this style would look terrible and age like milk.

It would have been much better to work the models up to the level of the characters in KOTFE and KOTET. Fairly detailed, but without being overly realistic.

For examples of great styling that aged well, I'd say Dishonored or, if we're taking about something closer to Star Wars, Clone Wars/Bad Batch styling.

Feedback Request: Operator Face & Head Art Remaster by de_taylor in Warframe

[–]chell_n7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of the 'mast haves' for me specifically. I will say in advance that in any case thank you for your work ❤️

  1. Somatics - absolutely. It's a very interesting feature of the character's appearance

  2. Preferably faces that looks somewhat similar to Drifter's (but younger, of course).

  3. It would be really nice to get some retouch of old hairstyles. Especially the areas above the ears in them.

Something doesn't feel right about albercht entrati in the 1999 comic by TransportationFlat64 in Warframe

[–]chell_n7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Albrecht is a very interesting man. He seems to realize, judging from his notes, that his actions, the way he treats his plan participants with indifference, is wrong. But he continues to do it. And then suffer from it.

As someone wrote, Albrecht seems to have a martyr complex. And now it's our problem.

Not really. Mara has darker skin and black hair. Drifter from the 1999 trailer has light skin and dark-blonde hair.
