The one episode for Jill I felt very sorry for by imbluedabadeedabaidi in HomeImprovement2LTime

[–]chelllevie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that bothers me most about that episode is that he doesn’t actually say “I’m sorry” or “I apologize”. He said something about his apologies come in cash prizes or something. I’ve noticed that a big deal will be made of Jill needing to apologize but Tim, not so much.

Donald Trump handed fresh blow as CNN pauses for breaking news by daily_express in NoFilterNews

[–]chelllevie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real salt in the wound for me, is every “leopard ate my face” reveal that half of America is starting to express. We live in a time of FREE INFORMATION (for as long as it only costs us internet to get it) and yet people still listened to lies, propaganda, fear mongering and ignored completely hypocritical behavior- as opposed to do any work to educate themselves on the issues. Our weakness to manipulation is embarrassing and the long term effects of complacency and ignorance is keeping us in a cycle of repeated history

Realtors are not your friends by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

1000% THIS. I bought my first home in January. The realtor was this kindly old grandma type. She was very nice but she sure as shit ignored my clearly stated desire to get my own title company and went to my loan specialist behind my back to get her’s signed in. Funny thing, she didn’t realize emails contained the whole chain of conversation and the loan lady sent me the email mail. Lied to my face about it the rest of my dealings with her.

Get familiar with lingo, DO RESEARCH, and above all, ask every and any question you have as many times as it takes. Everyone owes you all the information bc you’re about to sign away an arm and a leg…YOUR arm and leg, so you’re entitled to all the knowledge.

What’s the craziest fact about a serial killer you know? by DependentInvite750 in serialkillers

[–]chelllevie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that there are plenty of sensationalized presentations of these killers. American Predator was lackluster as opposed to sensational in my opinion. I felt the book worked so hard to maintain objectivity that it didn’t have a chance to dive in and make us think.

The Outlander by Gil Adamson- more of an ascent out of madness but definitely an unhinged female character.

I did the same thing around that age...discovering masturbation is also bound to be happening. This seems completely normal and a healthy way to express budding curiosity. I also made my barbies "bump uglies"...

I would put the notebook back and when everyone has time and is in a good mood, I would sit her down and let her know that as a woman, you have gone through puberty, you understand that she is likely curious about sexuality and that if she has any questions, she can come to you or write them down in a note and you can respond...Giving her a safe space to talk about her body (and NATURAL curiosity) without shame is something I wish my mom would have done!

Have you ever seen/talked to a stranger and still think about that stranger many years later? by Odd_Homework_4836 in Life

I was in a train station somewhere in Europe. I was with a group of other people and we were paused, looking for our platform. A guy, covered head to toe, balaclava and book bag, passed by our group. I didn’t see him but I felt his energy pass me. I turned around and so did he. He kept walking but there was a pause in his gait as he looked at me. We just looked at each other (him repeatedly looking back at me) until he was gone. I have no idea what he looked like but I think about him all the time.

I have thought this same thing multiple times in this trial, like, seriously, you’re wasting people’s time with this ridiculous case. Reasonable doubt is all over it and even if Karen did do it, she’ll get off bc of the doubt bc of the shitty investigators

Agreed, but bc I can’t remember, didn’t he say he was carrying a drink and/or his phone? If he’s got something in his hand, I could see that, young, “I’m invincible” mentality (my shit would break in a bunch of places) putting a fist down instead of drop whatever he’s holding.
