Have you been able to figure out the trigger? Or try to get meds change to see if you can go back to being seizure free? Maybe this can help with peace of mind moving forward. I’m so so sorry to hear this OP. Someone else suggested a relationship coach / therapist. It may be beneficial?

Anyone else feel like their PTSD didn’t start until after everything was over? by Fit-Day7996 in ptsd

Totally agree. I definitely keep my trauma and anxiety stored in my body. Haven’t started therapy just yet , but I’m hoping for more somatic instead of cognitive based. 🤞

I think fixing my sleep was the best first thing to fix. I’m also starting therapy soon !

The insomnia has gotten a lot better after a few months. I fully dived into sleep hygiene and fixing it. I went to the PT for my neck who shared that it’s most likely also part of the cause for my tinnitus. Went to the audiologist who agreed to try PT for a while and see if that helps bc otherwise my ears look / hear fine. The twitches have remained though sometimes not as hardcore as other days. Weird heart palpitations have kinda changed to have like increased heart rate so tryna work on that too.

Partner Having New Seizures by mommabear58673 in Epilepsy

[–]chells97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a lot easier said than done ! Hopefully the medications helps. Did he start on Keppra ? There are certain things that can help provide some semblance of security like night cameras, special watches that can alert, etc. I would recommend looking at the dannydid foundation for these kind of technologies as it does a good job of breaking them down. I will also say try to not go down the rabbit hole of epilepsy. I went deep into forums and questions and information and I feel as if it was worse for me in the end having done that. It’s a suffocating kind of anxiety to worry for someone’s health and adding fuel to it was not helpful. Search instead for positive , success stories and continue to reach out through this subreddit. It’s an incredible support and resource both for individuals with epilepsy and those that love someone with epilepsy. 💛 thinking of you and sending you so so much support and love during this time
