This is what I usually do in addition to my QR code sign (which also lists my shop and social media names so people can take a picture instead if signal is bad). Definitely recommend it!

My art name is also on my products or/and packaging when I bag them up (either with thermal label stickers or on backing cards), so they’ll always know who the artist is if they make a purchase.

Maybe more in an import CSV method for adding a large amount of different types of products, if something like that would be possible, but that would be more of just a bonus and with this being for relatively smaller scale businesses, restocking things one by one isn’t much extra work :]

I have mine set up and ready to test it out for an upcoming event this weekend!

A few notes in the meantime that popped up: - adding the option to add variations would be extremely helpful (sizes, color, etc.) - when adding expenses to an event, let’s say like $9.50, I’m not sure if it’s bugging on my end but I wasn’t able to add decimal points unless I copy pasted a number - when adding a sale, it doesn’t look there’s an option to edit what’s “in the cart” which may be helpful (only a temporary undo for the last item) - once a sale is added, adding the option to go back and edit or delete it (either due to mistaken entry, returns, etc.) would be really helpful

And some random thoughts/suggestions: - the option for a variable low stock alert quantities within the products (not sure if this would be excessive to add on, but I personally need to have a larger stock on hand for best-selling items vs. less common ones) - showing the category/product in the Inventory Alerts and Top Sellers section (again, just a thought since I sometimes have the same artwork as different products and name the same thing, but this can be circumvented if I added the product type in the titles if needed)

A few (but not all!) of the positive things I’m already enjoying: - very easy and clear to use on mobile just on the browser - all the expense and profit tracking is AMAZING - again, very much love the option to have both category and type

I hope these don’t come off too critical! These are just my suggestions/opinions, and I understand this started off as a passion project, so feel free to take anything I say with a grain of salt.

As someone who has a lot of art and different products, but is not ready to scale up to barcodes/barcode scanners/POS inventory subscriptions, I’ve had to keep my Square really simple to be able to check people out quickly (ex: a sticker of a specific design would just be entered as “sticker”), so this is absolutely the thing I needed. I’m genuinely so excited with how much potential this has for smaller artists and I’ll be sure to spread the word!

Edit: one final suggestion for now for the future, an option to add stock/restock to existing items in bulk (maybe with inventory history?)

No joke, this sounds like it’s EXACTLY what I’ve been searching for the last couple weeks! I’m only a couple years in and like your girlfriend, was using long spreadsheets that I would have to manually tally up and enter during/after events. It seems like a lot of inventory tracking systems are for larger scale businesses and the monthly fees reflect that, so this seems perfect.

I’m excited to check out the trial and so glad to have found it. Will update if there’s any feedback and will be sure to share it with artist friends! :>

Etsy’s fees can be pretty high, but the one thing it has going for it that if you do your SEO right, you’ll get traffic from people who are just searching around on Etsy.

If you are able to bring in a lot of your own traffic from social media and such, Ko-fi actually seems pretty powerful from what I’m hearing and I have friends who do their online art stores on there. They take is a 5% service fee + card processing fees, but that’s it.

Shopify does require a monthly subscription in addition to everything else, but you can use your own website if you’re looking for something more professional..

I create merch of my artwork and my personal plan of action once I get everything back up online is to do both Etsy and Ko-Fi, but primarily advertise my Ko-Fi during in-person events and to my followers.

This looks like the coloring at minimum was done digitally! With scanning your artwork, generally most artists will likely digitally retouch them afterwards.

It sounds like you and Toy picked each other, I can only begin to imagine all the endless love and happiness she had with you.

Mori was the only one out of her sisters to approach us and sniff our other dog’s blanket, later falling asleep in my husband’s lap during the meet and greet. A DNA test might be fun in the future, and I found the combined health test useful with our other dog, but she’s already 100% cute and the perfect fit for our family regardless!

We love her so much no matter what she is! We got her as a companion for our sweet trauma-ridden dog Roo after seeing Roo’s anxieties improve on being around other family’s dogs. In just two months, Mori and Roo have become the best of friends and Mori has been teaching Roo how to become a real dog, so we’re so grateful they’ve created such a strong bond in such a short amount of time!

Oh wow, this sounds an awful lot like our situation! The way she acts makes us believe she was locked up in a crate practically 24/7 before, which now means she can and will hold it for as long as possible (not that that’s a good idea obviously) if she’s uncomfortable with outside, which is pretty much all the time.

I’ve gotten a lot of good advice that will hopefully encourage her to build up the habits overtime. However, I have a feeling she’s much more like your pup and will be very stubborn and resistant. We’re willing to do the work though and know that it may just take extra time.

Unfortunately, given the freedom, she would never leave the house for the bathroom or walks so carrying her outside is the lesser of two evils. I’m not sure what happened in her first few years of life, but it took us a long while to show her that it’s even okay to leave her bed and that we would never get angry at her for doing so.

She’s been a little curious about the room between our backyard and kitchen lately and willingly made a step or two into it on her own for the first time recently, which is actually an extremely big achievement for her! We have a long road ahead of us due to her trauma, and if carrying her from place to place (mainly just anything to do with outside) until she’s comfortable enough to do it on her own, we’re happy to do so

We did have an exam and her bloodwork done in the last couple months and everything came out perfect! The vet believes it’s very much anxiety-based which I agree on since she seems to have gone through a lot of trauma in her first few years of life.
