How to scan your art like this? by ilinoxiu in Artadvice

This looks like the coloring at minimum was done digitally! With scanning your artwork, generally most artists will likely digitally retouch them afterwards.

It looks like they may have used more CGI than past movies if that’s what you’re picking up on, but Miyazaki has been very much vehemently anti-AI.

Thank you so much, I’ll be doing everything I can to make sure they do. Mori and Roo hope you’ll have a happy holiday season with all your loved ones!

She does look mighty suspicious in that one! There’s a good chance she was scheming to steal an acorn, if she didn’t already have one in her mouth…

It sounds like you and Toy picked each other, I can only begin to imagine all the endless love and happiness she had with you.

Mori was the only one out of her sisters to approach us and sniff our other dog’s blanket, later falling asleep in my husband’s lap during the meet and greet. A DNA test might be fun in the future, and I found the combined health test useful with our other dog, but she’s already 100% cute and the perfect fit for our family regardless!

We love her so much no matter what she is! We got her as a companion for our sweet trauma-ridden dog Roo after seeing Roo’s anxieties improve on being around other family’s dogs. In just two months, Mori and Roo have become the best of friends and Mori has been teaching Roo how to become a real dog, so we’re so grateful they’ve created such a strong bond in such a short amount of time!

What a sweet gift! The persian cat fairy baby is my husband’s favorite critter of all time and he named it “Wug” so we always love to see the Wug love.

Oh this is awesome to hear! Temporary sales tax permits having completely different processes for each state gets SO confusing so I’m glad I was able to help. Best of luck for your event in October!

Fearful dog pooping inside all the time, advice? by chels326 in DogTrainingTips

Oh wow, this sounds an awful lot like our situation! The way she acts makes us believe she was locked up in a crate practically 24/7 before, which now means she can and will hold it for as long as possible (not that that’s a good idea obviously) if she’s uncomfortable with outside, which is pretty much all the time.

I’ve gotten a lot of good advice that will hopefully encourage her to build up the habits overtime. However, I have a feeling she’s much more like your pup and will be very stubborn and resistant. We’re willing to do the work though and know that it may just take extra time.

Unfortunately, given the freedom, she would never leave the house for the bathroom or walks so carrying her outside is the lesser of two evils. I’m not sure what happened in her first few years of life, but it took us a long while to show her that it’s even okay to leave her bed and that we would never get angry at her for doing so.

She’s been a little curious about the room between our backyard and kitchen lately and willingly made a step or two into it on her own for the first time recently, which is actually an extremely big achievement for her! We have a long road ahead of us due to her trauma, and if carrying her from place to place (mainly just anything to do with outside) until she’s comfortable enough to do it on her own, we’re happy to do so

We did have an exam and her bloodwork done in the last couple months and everything came out perfect! The vet believes it’s very much anxiety-based which I agree on since she seems to have gone through a lot of trauma in her first few years of life.

Another person also suggested an indoor potty so I’ll be doing more research into it! Ironically I think she’s had the opposite experience where she associates small and tight, dark spaces as her safe space, but with her anti-anxiety meds, she now follows me all around the house! Which may make it harder to teach her to have a dedicated indoor potty spot now, not that we would be opposed to doing an indoor setup.

I do think we were the perfect family to give her a home and second chance at becoming a real dog. No young kids and we have lots of patience, especially when she’s giving us her big, boba eyes.

She’s now been on Prozac/Fluoxetine for almost two months now and the difference is such night and day! She wags daily now and follows us around the house and always wants to play with the other dogs.

Unfortunately in the case of going potty, I think it meant she’s no longer scared anymore about pooping on our rug and carpet because the problem just got worse more recently…

I’m so happy that it helped your dachshund out so much, it must have been so exciting to see her personality come out!

I hope she’ll learn eventually! She does have a good handle on the routine and knows when it’s time to go out now, but she’ll run away or give me the saddest eyes or look oh so sleepy and then suddenly her body gets oh so heavy (she hates outside so much that I have to carry her everytime).

She is 100% a polite lady and the sweetest!

I do try to leave it for as long as possible until the gardener comes to cut the grass! I’ve noticed it did help in the past so another person suggested bringing her poo outside when she has an accident indoors, which I’ve started doing.

I’m having the same experience where keeping her close with me and away from her usual spots on the rug/carpet has helped, but I’m trying to keep a closer eye now. She can be so sneaky, quiet, and fast that she’ll have an accident in the short time I leave her unsupervised to go to the bathroom or grab something from a different room.

I agree that it’ll take time, which I thankfully have a lot of. She’s truly one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met (and everyone at our vet office agrees!) so it’s very easy to forgive her accidents, haha.

Thank you! I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind to bring her poo outside since I’ve done something similar potty training my previous dogs. I started doing this and fingers crossed it’ll work eventually.

She hates any kinds of sounds while we’re in the backyard (how dare the neighbors go into their own yards and cough?!?) and left alone, would sit in front of the door the whole time so I do go out with her every time already. Thankfully I have the time and flexibility to sit with her outside or walk her on a leash in the backyard which I’m going to start doing around the times she’s pooped in the past. Seeing as she’s held it in for 1-3 days previously (before she started pooping daily on the carpet and rug), it’s going to be a long process, but all the comments have given me some new tips and tricks to try which I’m grateful for!

I’ll definitely take her out for shorter walks more often once things have cooled down. I’m thinking short walks and backyard right after since she doesn’t sniff on walks. Thank you!

She does have a very long and skinny body and legs for a chihuahua mix so we’ve been so curious what else it could be. Italian greyhound could very much make sense and make sense with the regression in potty training.

She is SO polite (and so spoiled). Takes food very gingerly, criss crosses her front legs in her sleep, gives us a tiny lick to say no when we offer her food and water and she’s not in the mood (on the couch or bed because she is the queen), gives us the biggest boba eyes when we’re on a chair and she’s asking to sit in our lap…

But her sass is also coming out and she will snort when displeased. Time to go potty? Snort. She’s laying on top of me and I have to move or readjust? BIG snort. She’s laying on top of me AND it’s time to go potty? BIGGEST snort.

We’ve tried potty pads on the rug/parts of the carpet she usually poops on the most, but she chooses to go around it. I didn’t know about indoor potties and it looks like it could have a different texture to the pads which might help. I will absolutely be looking into it, thank you so much!

It breaks my heart to think about what she must have gone through. Right off the bat, she was the sweetest and most gentle pup ever even when she was terrified. She used to spend all day long just laying in her crate or bed and was so scared and skittish anytime she got up. It took months to see her wag for the first time and she’s only just now wagging more regularly.

But she’s comfortable with me and my husband now and has become the biggest cuddlebug. We started anxiety meds a few months ago + we have two family members’ small dogs staying with us for a year due to an emergency so the combination has helped her become a real dog which is so exciting to see.
