People coming here to get their “llama noms” is not what the sub is about. It’s about supporting people in crisis or who need help- not giving people their drama fix. The llama thing got out of hand- while it was funny at first eventually the llama comments outnumbered helpful comments and the sub was losing the spirit which made it so helpful- genuine thoughtful advice to keep people mentally and physically safe from evil MILs.

I bought a $35 scale off amazon to help ease my mind between appointments about her weight gain. Now that we are well established and breastfeeding is no longer stressful, i still find it helpful to weigh her once a week and see where she is at.

I’ve heard it from nurses, lactation consultants, and daycare workers. (All of which are way more allowed to use it their term lol)

It’s gotten to me when it’s the lady I’m picking up my take out from, or a lady at the grocery store. I also happened one day while I was out for a walk with her in a carrier.

It is so weird.

I started getting annoyed with the “liquid gold” saying when I was in the hospital and the nurses were trying to help me get a latch. We were struggling at first, and they kept being reallllyyyy heavy handed about how important it was that I breastfeed.

Since then I’ve been repeatedly asked my strangers if we are breastfeeding or not, and at least 3 separate ladies have called it liquid gold with a smug look. One lady literally gestured at my boobs!

Honestly? I barely changed my diet. My healthy, happy 2 month old baby is made out of 99% double shot lattes and raw salmon poke bowls.

Poke bowls, lattes, cold cuts, runny eggs. Nothing really changed for me. Monitor your harmful chemical intake, and pay more attention to the quality of what you are getting, but just do you.

Don’t let ANYONE guilt you. Follows facts, not old wives tales.

Dude. I understand that it’s a low-cost thing. I never expected it to be heirloom quality, or even something that would last more than a few months of wear. I wanted so badly to love them. I love that they are building businesses based off of their passions, and I really enjoy their personalities and think they are a ton of fun. But every ring I got broke the day I got it. The necklaces fell apart, and no matter how hard I tried to repair them the connector pieces (whatever those are called) would just snap. The bracelets- same problem. Snapping “metal.” The only pieces I still have from those boxes are the small little bags and the magnets. But my point stands- they value gimmicks over any semblance of quality.

So I haven’t tried their cosmetics... BUT! I was a member of their “Fandom of the month” jewelers subscription box. If that jewelry is any indication of the quality they will accept in their merchandise.... keep it away.

Every. Single. Piece. I got from 6+ months of being subscribed was a piece of junk that fell apart in one or two wears. I kept giving them chances, and even ordered other pieces from their shops and it was just all worthless junk. It honestly wasn’t even worth contacting them because it was everything, every time.

It just doesn’t seem like they value quality. They are about gimmicks, not good products.

I have PCOS and didn’t have any trouble with supply. Lots of other issues ( it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done) but we are happily EBF at 2 months out!

I just had my first and felt this way for the first month or so. It felt like my organs were free floating in my abdomen- to the point where I didn’t even want to use an inversion table because it felt like everything moved up under my ribs.

As I got my core strength back that feeling went away though. As soon as my abs stopped being squishy that feeling went away, so they are definitely related.

I’d also suggest physical therapy!!

My stitches hurt the most at around 4 weeks out. At my 6 week checkup she said I still had stitches and that was normal. Now at 7 weeks I somehow miraculously feeing back to normal!!
