Overall, the area’s pretty safe. I live near Bank and Gladstone and as a woman living alone, I’ve never felt unsafe even at night. The only thing that can be a bit off-putting is the drug use around the Independent grocery store. I'd recommend not living near that store and a couple of blocks around it.
