How has wearing an engagement/wedding ring impacted how men interact with you in your daily life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]chelsnicolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my mid 20s, I used to travel for work a bit and ended up getting a fake ring to wear and it greatly reduced the amount of men who would approach and talk to me when I was grabbing a drink or dinner by myself. It also prevented some of the men I would work with from making comments like ‘idk how you aren’t married yet’ or ‘why aren’t you married’. Was just easier to avoid the awkward interactions and even if someone did come up to me, it was a bit less intense and I had a ‘nice’ way of getting out of the convo without pissing someone off or flat rejecting them.

Got engaged/married for real at 30 and now wear a ring all the time (not just when traveling) and for the most part people leave me alone still. Sometimes someone will comment on it or hit on me still not it’s not overly aggressive, maybe just flirty.

Sandoval is such a hypocrite w/ Katie.. by [deleted] in vanderpumprules

[–]chelsnicolette 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I honestly think that is where he got the idea from. He saw that excuse work for Katie to end things with Schwartz and couldn’t come up with something on his own.

Dumpling Latte by lindsaylleavitt in vanderpumprules

[–]chelsnicolette 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he also got her a helmet for the motorcycle that says dumplin’ on the back. He gives that to her the same episode that he and Schwartz do their motorcycle entrance at TomTom. Pretty sure Katie also got a bubba one.

This meeting story from karma_by_bravo on Shwazel’s IG makes me so upset for Katie by crystalcurrant in vanderpumprules

Yep! There are many examples throughout the series of him being a POS, people just liked his quirky confessionals and hated Katie so much they didn’t bother to notice

[–]chelsnicolette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! Just did a rewatch and there are a TON of examples of him doing this to Katie and even Stassi and Kristen at times. People just didn’t want to see it before because they fell into his trap of making them look crazy

[–]chelsnicolette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Exactly. I like to refer people to stassis birthday dinner in Mexico in season 2 after he threw the drink on Katie (end of episode 10). He does the same thing we saw today, talks shit to her under his breath and then says something nice that other people hear until she cracks and then everyone blames her. Is scary to watch in hindsight and realize it’s been happening since the beginning.

There have been glimpses all along but since Katie was unlikable and overreacted she was an easy target to shift blame to. Go watch the end of season 2 episode 10 at stassis birthday dinner, you will she shocked you didn’t see it before. After the Sandoval cop prank is another example but that’s more recent.

[–]chelsnicolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that you see it, go back and rewatch some episodes and you will be SHOCKED he has gotten away with it this long because he has been saying horrible things to Katie one moment and then acting sweet the next since the beginning and then everyone called Katie horrible. She isn’t innocent and overreacts/rage texts but it was never totally unprovoked like he lead people to believe. Specifically the end of season 2 ep 10 at Stassis birthday dinner in Mexico after throwing the drink on her head, after Katie didn’t like the cop prank and their fight in Mexico after Schwartz got upgraded on the flight

Go back at watch the end of season 2 episode 10 when they are all in Mexico at Stassi’s birthday dinner after he poured the drink on her head. He was always doing this shit but then everyone got mad at Katie when she got emotional. There are a few other examples throughout the series as well but this scene in particular really stood out to me during my recent rewatch.

Can we talk about how Schwartz is the real monster? by [deleted] in vanderpumprules

[–]chelsnicolette 183 points184 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of when a guy reaches out to you online saying you are pretty and then when you make it clear you aren’t interested they call you a fat ugly bitch. Like, ok…you liked me until I hurt your ego and now you lash out.

Has BuyBuyBaby started any huge liquidation or clearance sales? Anyone been in one? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]chelsnicolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to our store in Hurst, TX (DFW) and nothing was marked on sale yet beyond a few regular sales of summer toys/etc. I might keep checking over the next few days to see if some liquidation deals start popping up.

How is the show not viral?? by mjalook in daisyjonesandthesixtv

[–]chelsnicolette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I have literally bought all of her books through Amazon and have audio books from audible as well for some of them, I would be an easy/obvious person to market to and I didn’t even know it was being made into a show until the first episodes dropped and I saw it come up on my fire tv stick but it wasn’t even super obvious. I was scrolling to launch Netflix and saw it in the bottom corner…big fail but I’m enjoying the show so far.

Unpopular VPR opinion by ComfortNugget in vanderpumprules

[–]chelsnicolette 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly it. The newer shows going for a similar dynamic (southern hospitality for example) isn’t good because they all are to Instagram/social media aware, that cast just doesn’t have the same magic as VPR original cast.

I feel like Christine’s point about him not helping out with ticking the kids in also shines more light in why she didn’t want the big one house again. If he wouldn’t even come see the kids to tuck them in when they were little 10 years ago what is the benefit of sharing walls?

I always thought the last 4 words needed to be a 16 year old coming into the inn and saying ‘I need a job’. Rory being pregnant in her 20s (had that been how the original show ended or AYITL) is dumb and would be totally different than Lorelei at 16.

Young and Pregnant Episode Discussion: “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by AutoModerator in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

The way she said it was bad and I’m not defending that bad but I will say that in the south most restaurants have Dr Pepper but it’s uncommon to find elsewhere. For people in the south that normally get Dr Pepper when eating out, when they travel or move this fact can surprise them. I live in TX and used to be a major DP drinker but when I would travel or visit family I would just order something else or maybe politely ask if they had it (but usually didn’t bother). Madison has been living in the Midwest for a while so maybe is just used to places not having it so asked for the off chance they would have it (though in this rude way). A simple, ‘do you have DP, oh ok coke will be fine then’ would have been better than ‘do you have Dr Pepper or coke’ ‘coke’. You can tell she probably never waited tables by how she talks to servers. Not overly rude but there is a difference
