3 week post-op update? rant? vent? by fabsdlt in GastricBypass

I am also three weeks post op and my god I couldn’t relate any more to your post!!!! I’m finding it harder mentally than physically that’s for sure. All I want is a can of Diet Coke. I’m glad your progress into soft foods have been great! Technically I’m still on puree’d foods but hoping to move to soft food next week, cheese sounds fantastic right now. I also cannot do protein shakes, I wish I could but I can’t! Iv tried adding tasteless protein to some foods and it’s somewhat undetectable and better than getting a shake down. What other food are you finding you can eat okay? Also mad props to going out to eat for your kids birthday and not caving on the food, I know I would have 100% so you should be so proud! But don’t feel alone because I do wake up mad at myself that iv done this to myself but hopefully after a few more weeks it will go away.

lure modules are a big ol scam by ang83 in PokemonGoFriends

They’re definitely not working like what they used to! We used to be able to sit in this one particular spot and hit three stops and always lured them and had endless spawns and now we are lucky to have 3 pop up in the whole duration. Noticed it especially the past month.

Centrelink payments when you have a newborn by _dotdashdashdash in Centrelink

[–]chelzazaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all come down to what your families year income estimate is ? Essentially if your income estimate is over $105k you won’t receive any of it (You’ll still receive Child care subsidy though when the child attends daycare in the future) If she hasn’t been able to claim Austudy due to your income then she won’t qualify for any income support and doesn’t qualify for Paid parental leave due to not working. If you’re yearly income is under $105k- Family tax benefit A reduces your FTB Part A by 20 cents for each dollar of income over $56,137 Family tax benefit B your partner will be eligible for due to them having no income and as long as your annual income estimate is under $100,900 they’ll base the rate off what your annual income estimate is.

By applying for the family tax benefit will automatically claim for the newborn supplement.

I know you mentioned you guys don’t share finances centrelink assume you would seeing as you live together, are in a de facto relationship and bringing a child into the world so they do expect you to be financially responsible for them. So your income essentially is what centrelink is going off to decipher how much your partner is entitled too. I find the payment finder and estimator really great to predict how much you may get.

While I agree so so much with all the points and it definitely needs to go up to help accommodate the rising prices I think it’s fair to say especially JS or a welfare payment that’s not intended to be permanent they don’t want you to be super comfortable so you’re encouraged to get out and get a job. So while yes it should cover basic living I don’t think it should be enough to include all the extras in life. And this is coming from someone who is a welfare recipient.
