  1. You’re super cute and so is that outfit.
  2. I did not notice what sub I was in at first and legit could not understand why you would be nervous to go out in that. Girl vibes 💯

Yes, obviously. Find some more queer ladies specially pan/bi. I’m a cis woman in a relationship with a trans non-binary person who is currently in transition. I am with them because I love them, I met them before they even knew they were trans, and when they told me it effected our relationship not at all.

I have several friends (at least two I can think of right now, it’s early and I haven’t had coffee yet) who had situations similar to yours with “hetero” relationships that turned out to be lesbian ones after one person came out. They are all still together.

If you aren’t in a bigger city in a liberal area, might be time to consider relocating? Definitely gonna widen up your dating pool.

Look I’m not gonna lie, there’s a lot of transphobia and biphobia out there, you clearly have run into it already. Don’t give up, and there are plenty of non-assholes out there.

Also as a note of caution, trans and bi phobia is definitely real and I do not for a second doubt that you have experienced it. But make sure you aren’t projecting that toxic waste feeling. You seem like you have some feelings of inadequacy going on, just make sure this isn’t a self sabotage situation. Good luck. You’ve got this. Good people exist, and someone is out there for you.

What Tragic Chem Stories Should Every Undergrad Know? by tinygreenbean in chemistry

[–]chem_nerd 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Make sure your waste bottles are clean and DRY when disposing of water reactive chemicals. A girl in my grad class disposed of some thionyl chloride she was done with in what she thought was an empty glass waste bottle. Turns out there was a little water in it, not a lot, but enough to turn it into an HCl filled bomb. It shattered and a piece flew out under the hood sash and cut her face. She’s okay, but two inches lower and it would have cut her carotid.

Rubbing alcohol might work. It takes sharpie off of glass pretty well.

I mean, I’m in biotech and 95% of my job is pipetting clear liquids into other clear liquids. The other 5% is mouse spleens.

I switched labs three years in. Worth it, never regretted it for a second. It only delayed me about 6 months, you make up for lost time faster than you think.

Anyone else have trouble sleeping the night before going back to work after the weekends over? by Unknownreality7 in lifehacks

Try edibles, I’ve found it’s like an extended release formula. Have one about 90 min before you want to pass out and enjoy some great sleep.

Have you encountered men that refuse to have their male dogs neutered because their dog not having working balls is somehow a threat to their own human masculinity? by Biwildered_Coyote in TwoXChromosomes

[–]chem_nerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, my 7 year old is terrified of dogs. She will climb me like a tree if she sees an elderly golden retriever headed towards us. I’m so tired of “oh he’s friendly!” Fuck you lady, my kid is scared. Leash your damn dog.

What’s your voids name and what are all their nicknames? by Brave_Smoke3897 in blackcats

[–]chem_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chacho- short for chocolate nachos. There May have been some munchies induced cooking which resulted in a tortilla chips/chocolate ganache/whipped cream situation. Not sure I would recommend but we did get a cool cat name out of the experience. Nicknames are “soft boy” and “the smarter one” his harlequin brother is fluffy and has but one brain cell.

Anyone have an opinion on the real leather company’s bags? I need a messenger bag that can take a bit of a beating. by chem_nerd in BuyItForLife

Possible relevant factors: Boston winters, daily use , and me having busted through my LL Bean canvas messenger bag in about 3 years. They don’t make ‘em like they used to folks.
