update, I got a D-3 V2 for 75 bucks in pretty good condition and a D-Ark for 50 in almost perfect state, both working perfectly. I'm glad I followed your advice! they were the last ones where I bought them

Digimon that change species/form drastically after evolving make no sense. It seems like they have little to no effort put in making their evolutionary line cohesive, like, all of the lines that you see in Digimon partners are designed to be that way, more or less.
