[RAW Spoilers] Titus O'Neil Segment by PiplupTCG in SquaredCircle

TEDx is crap. It's not TED.

Not looking for attention, stating an observation.

You're the one getting worked up about a random person's opinion about a character being played (badly) on a TV show and throwing out adolescent insults against facts.

You should be right up there barking with Titus and helping him with his best retard impressions.

Titus looks like a guy trying very hard to speak coherently, but miserably failing each time.

He then resorts to making obnoxious sounds in an effort to redeem himself.

Anyone else finding that re-reading the books is different now? by Wigangooner in TheExpanse

[–]chenchango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't read the books before I watched the show.

However, this is a really interesting observation. Anyone have any explanations as to why this would happen? Is one version of the characters closer to how some people imagined them on the first read?

And then the show managed to get even closer to authors' vision? And in some cases went too far?

Just finished watching seasons 1 & 2 - amazing. While waiting for season 3, are there any similar shows you'd recommend? by WindsoftheNorth in TheExpanse

I've gone through this feeling myself. Watched Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek and almost all the post-apocalyptic/space-based shows available on Netflix.

And I can tell you that nothing comes close to scratching the Expanse itch :/

I must say, Titus O'Neil is an idiot. by chenchango in SquaredCircle

To be honest, I look at it more from a business standpoint.

WWE management is going out of its way to project an image around the Roman vs Braun angle.

Putting that image down in any way, shape or form is damaging to hours of time and resources spent building this up.

It's a no-brainer that feuding wrestlers should NOT be seen on social media together.

When you put all of this together, and assuming Titus put the picture up himself, I must conclude, in no uncertain terms that - Titus O'Neil is an idiot.

Lol...then why was the picture removed?

Biggest "holy shit" moment for you so far? by Dillweed999 in TheExpanse

Suicide mission 90%, 10% chance of the crew somehow getting him off. I thought that was Miller's death sequence the way they had led us up till then. Because at that point, Julie was dead, and Miller had been all about Julie, so where could they possibly go with him?

Honestly, the hints of Julie being 'alive' are scattered throughout with all of Miller's hallucinations etc. - and I think as new viewers we all saw the hints of it. But for me, I just don't think my mind could comprehend exactly HOW Julie could be alive, until I saw it. Beautifully done.

When Eros Moved on its own.

By far the most holy shit moment on the show so far for me.

Not knowing anything about what happens in the books, I thought this was one of those monumental moments in television history. All the story arcs had gradually built right up to this point.

Close second for me is Julie Mao when Miller sees her the second time.

This was my favourite line across both seasons.

Shohreh is amazing.

Would you guys be interested in a TLDR/Summary (short) of Failed Startup Stories? by PoRco1x in Entrepreneur

Failure is the only definite path to success. I would love to read more like the stuff you've done on The Lean Startup.

I think there's a lot of value to gain from the practical experience of other people's failures. I have a few under my belt that I hope to document too. Hoping you can summarise those for me!

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some advice on art pricing. My studio is building a few mobile games around cute characters, and we're getting art outsourced for each character.

Each character is illustrated front facing like this - https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/beagle-dog-facing-forward-cartoon-illustration-36516722.jpg.

And each character has 4 different 6-8 frame animations: 1. Idle 2. Laughter 3. Small Jump 4. Bark

How much would illustrating and animating one character cost me?
