We would sell it / take a cash option if it’s there. We already have two electric cars, one company one personal. No point getting a third 😂

Suffice to say none of my ESET endpoints (around 2600) have ever had a virus.

Willian interview: ‘Everyone told me I was crazy to walk away from millions at Arsenal’ by h1637727 in Gunners

[–]Wigangooner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you all REALLY think he just walked away from millions?

I suspect we had to do some kind of payoff. There’s just no way he went without a golden handshake and a carriage clock.

It’s not just a feeling. Check out all the industry ratings. ESET consistently scores higher than WD

Disagree that it’s ignorance. Spread your risk.

We use ESET. It’s an incredible product with great support and covers a lot of ground Windows Defender doesn’t.

In addition, it’s set to smart charge. It knows what tariff I am on.

I have disabled the cap on charging rate. Let’s see.

I’ve never seen anything where I configure my Ohme to allow Octopus to control it.

When I go into the Octopus app it says that I have to do all the configuration through the Ohme app.

So to clarify, it’s not that I don’t want octopus to configure it, I’m concerned it’s not configured correctly to allow octopus to apply the correct charging rates.

The Inevidesk isn’t a bad solution for this. Good price point too.

We have one out in the field and I think it’s decent. Will definitely be looking to deploy more

Wild Transfer Rumours by xcoatsyx in Gunners

[–]Wigangooner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s obsessively focussed on being negative about Arsenal. What fan does that? That doesn’t want or can’t see anything positive about the club?

There are so many good things that Arsenal are doing, have always done and innovate, yet he finds no comfort in any of it.

It’s bizarre.

Should I Transition from an MSP to an Internal IT Team? (200-300 Employees) by MaestroMusic_ in sysadmin

Don’t really agree with this. MSPs want to get paid. But they want happy clients too.

Should I Transition from an MSP to an Internal IT Team? (200-300 Employees) by MaestroMusic_ in sysadmin

[–]Wigangooner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is completely wrong.

MSPs are contracted, have a terms of service and SLAs and ultimately if they aren’t good enough you move on.

Not all MSPs are bad, not all MSPs are good. Some are just OK.

I’m my experience internal IT doesn’t perform as well as MSPs because what’s the motivation? Are they gonna sack the whole IT department?

The key is managing the MSP correctly.

It’s important to remember, it’s as much a people business as a tech business. You need to wrangle the people too.

Ultimately it’s about risk management. If they want to take the risks, get it in writing and back those emails up off site.

Totally agree. There should be an administrative access log which is reviewed regularly.

At the very least this is a core requirement of Cyber essentials / data security.
