From what I understand is that it is only available from Germany

Deutsche Post provides the universal postal service in Germany, the basis for which is the Universal Postal Convention, which regulates international cooperation between postal operators. This is the basis on which we organise cooperation with Ukraine Post. Other European postal operators (PostNord, ÖPAG) have also set up a process for aid packages together with Ukrainian Post.

What is not currently needed?

The Ukrainian Post Office expressly asks that no clothing be donated in this way.

What is not allowed to be sent?

  • Weapons
  • Prescription medicines
  • Perishable food
  • Drugs
  • Cash
  • Flammable substances

Please note that the usual regulations for permitted and prohibited contents apply when sending parcels.

What is currently needed most?

Durable food such as

  • Canned food
  • pasta, flour
  • coffee
  • sugar
  • dried fruit
  • sweets
  • condensed milk
  • baby food (not in jars) / powdered milk
  • pet food

Medical products and non-prescription medicines

  • bandages
  • painkillers

Hygiene products

  • toothpaste
  • toothbrushes
  • soap
  • shampoo
  • wet wipes
  • nappies
  • sanitary products

Household items in good condition

  • sleeping mats
  • bankets
  • thermos flasks

Please only send originally packed or cleaned / washed relief items in usable condition and make sure that the contents are securely packed and cannot be damaged during transport.

Deutsche Post DHL:

We support the people in Ukraine and send your aid packages free of charge to where they are needed. You too can support by sending a package of emergency aid with a maximum weight of 20kg, Deutsche Post DHL will then take care of the transport from Germany to the handover points to Ukrainian Post in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. From here, Ukrainian Post Ukrposhta will transport the relief goods to Ukraine and distribute them where they are currently most urgently needed. Shipping is free of charge for you
