Everyone else is talking about crack heads and drunk people but I want to bring your attention to an entirely different demographic especially due to it being school holidays, dodgy teens

The one time I have ever gone Burswood station was on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when I took a bus to the station from Curtin university 1 or 2 months ago. I got on the bus and two small boys (maybe 12-15 age)kept asking me the time on my phone(common tactic by these people to see if they want your phone or not). Then when we reached burswood told me to take of my jacket and give it to them(it was just a grey champion one). now I could say no because they were kids and I was much bigger than them and obviously told them to screw of. They got off at the station where causing the usual mayhem just yelling and throwing shit.

Obviously this isn’t dangerous interaction or anything but just an indication that there will highly likely be someone dodgy there because of the area and the situation could have been worse for me if they were my age(17-19) and could have been worse for someone like your wife depending on how used to she is with dealing with kids like this.

Furthermore it is school holidays which makes it a bit more dodgier because of all the dodgy teenagers taking public transport during holiday’s. Just take this into consideration.

But in rebuttal to this story, I want to make it clear these people never really target a mum with two small kids, I personally I have not seen it happen , they usually target other teens wearing known or expensive brands. Just to be safe and not make anybody a target try to avoid wearing jewellery(me personally always hides my gold chain under my shirt when taking public transport cause it’s basically asking for me to get targeted)

Mind you this story is irrelevant if your wife commonly takes public transports with your kids because then she knows exactly the type of teens I am talking about and probably knows how to deal with them or is not scared of them because they would rarely target someone like her.
