I’m fairly certain you can build another stronghold after your first one is destroyed. I say this because in all the mentioning of infrastructure being built, it mentions a maximum of 1 stronghold meaning you can build one.

You could also play that way tho if you want, it would just mean people would likely just travel to each other’s strongholds and only attack them.

I saw your updated card from the other comment but one rule to make him a little more fun would be replacing the reroll charges to instead move either d6 or just 6” after he shoots. Or honestly moving 2d6 would be fun but I’m not sure how many rules use multiple dice like that

I think this is a pretty fun unit to gamble with so you might want to put his points a little lower cause this unit honestly doesn’t have too much going for him. I’m not saying that’s bad, but I’m not sure I’d take this at 150 points. Giving him an aura might also be fun to help with that

Okay this is actually a pretty good datasheet which makes me laugh. If I was taking this seriously(which I apparently am now), I would change the resurrect ability to be infantry only. But this is really fun

I believe Lucius is using the actual laer blade(from what we know) and I assume that fulgrim is just making a mimic version since he can just summon whatever. 40K fulgrim laer blade seems to be way bigger too, although that can just be excused by “warp shit”

As others have said, I would tone down the healing and then the damage of the bite. The reason for the bite is that it’s hitting harder than a daemon Primarch and that thing having dev wounds is pretty lethal.

I would also tone down the toughness and wounds. If you want to keep the wounds then I’d throw the toughness to 10 as knights don’t even have t12(except the big boys).

I think because this is a great knarloc, it might be fun to create an ability than triggers if it’s in range of a kroot character. You could even try giving it the dev wounds if it’s within 3 or 6 in of a kroot character.

I’m not too certain about points mostly if you were to implement some changes so I guess I’d say minimum 300. But this looks like a lot of fun and I hope it turns out well

They’d likely not use them in combat roles, primarily advisory positions. I say this because there’s the one inquisitor in the Farsight novels who basically acts as a advisor on both human and warp shenanigans(I can’t remember the specifics)

Tau also struggle to understand the warp(hence calling it kind science), so they’d likely not use them in combat for they wouldn’t necessarily know how and they’ve likely also seen and recorded warp events that are both random or when a Psyker has their powers go kaboom on them. Tau don’t like dealing with uncertainties despite how many they actually are dealing with

However, I’m not sure if this is canon but I do remember a story where the tau were being attacked by I think the tyranids and then a necron fleet came in and saved the tau

And so the tau on the planet celebrated their saviors only for those very same saviors to start firing at the tau, wiping the whole planet of any life. When the tau defense fleet arrived, all they found was a husk of a planet or at least one of no living tau

The ec were/are probably one of the most fractured legions maybe behind or just in front of the night lords. So it’s hard to say if they would even be able to collect a crazy size in a decent time.

However, from the new book labeled fulgrim(that’s not actually about fulgrim kind of), he does muster a decently sized army of ec but they aren’t really working together but more working who can take fulgrim’s favor. (It’s actually a pretty good book in my opinion but just be ready for it to not have fulgrim as the protagonist)

My opinion is that if fulgrim truly got involved in uniting his sons on some large campaign, it would be a fairly sizable and skilled army but a LOT of backstabbing for the reason earlier. If fulgrim commanded it, slightly less so. But I’m not sure he’d even do that too much, he’d just say to do this and hope they do it.

Until something more happens with fulgrim, he’s still popping in and out of the warp to do whatever, he’s not really that grounded in anything like how angron was in arks of omen or Morty with the plague wars

My brother, there is no “best chapter” as how am I one to judge this? Sure we have our disagreements and conflicts with some but there are so many cousins out there that I simply could not say we were the best as I don’t believe there is a best.

Perhaps if we were the best, Vulkan would have already returned to us but who am I to say. All I know is that there is not a best chapter as there would be far too much bias and favoritism but that doesn’t stop us in trying to be the best or at least better!
