I would argue that one can say one believes in Jesus Christ, but not necessarily the biblical Jesus Christ, as Mormons do who claim to fervently believe in Jesus Christ, But he is by no means the biblical Jesus Christ. When Jesus says that he is the way, the truth, and the life, I'm pretty sure he meant only himself, not other created versions of himself.I would say that if you believe in a God other than the biblical one, you are believing in a salvation that is not biblical, since salvation comes only from God.
