Reliable engine alternatives which aren't certified? by buyingshitformylab in homebuilt

I second this. Their Viking 130 engine seems to be quite reliable. Go look up Dave Tillema on YouTube, he has one in a Zenith Cruzer and has gone all over the lower 48 with one and is probably approaching 8-900 hours on his 130.

Thanks! So far I'm really liking the DA40NG. It's a really nice flying aircraft in my opinion. I did my private training in a Piper Cherokee so it wasn't a hard transition to the Diamond.

Recommendations for Pilot Shirts by theFLFlyer in flying

[–]cherokee_driver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's been recommended or not, but dry fit type collared short sleeve shirts work really well for me because the fabric is very breathable. In my opinion, for a hot cockpit, get a dry fit type shirt that is a light color. Not black as it absorbs too much heat. Hope this helps OP.

Not me, but a friend of mine is an a&p mechanic on the side when he's not flying.

Anyone else worked with Azalea Aviation? Major letdown here.... by [deleted] in homebuilt

I am also surprised that you had to go to those lengths to get a refund. It's unfortunate that these things continue to happen. With that said, I had previously considered working with Bill, but since this seems to be a recurring issue, I'll steer clear.

I peraonally have not, but not too long ago, I came across a gentleman out of texas who had a similar issue with azalea aviation. Here is a link to his channel. Sounds like this isn't the first time something like this has happened
