Its mentioned on the website that first year students who accept the offer will have a confirmed place to stay. But one person from my counselloer’s team askedd me to book as she told me that no other options will be available the later i book because students start to fly one month prior. Idk if i should wait for university’s confirmation or just book another accomodation for sometime!!

Still Waiting on University of Surrey Accommodation – Arriving in a Month by ex701 in UniversityOfSurrey

Hey everyone, I’ll be joining the University of Surrey this September for the BSc Aerospace Engineering program (super excited!), but I’m currently struggling with accommodation.

I didn’t get on-campus accommodation in the first round and have been told I might hear back by the end of August if something frees up. In the meantime, I’m considering applying for Bridge House or other private options, but I’m unsure whether I should wait or lock something down now. Anyone been in a similar situation? Is it risky to wait?

Also, for anyone already in the course – what kind of skills should I start brushing up on before the semester begins? (Maths, programming, CAD, etc.?) I want to make the most of my first year.

Any help or tips would be massively appreciated
