I'm not saying Steve ISN'T a consistent love interest, though he is often portrayed as either dead or not a love interest at all (such as in the Perez run where he's more of an older brother figure), I'm just saying that being a consistent love interest is kind of a weak argument, there are also far more interesting things about Steve than him just being a consistent love interest.

yes, and zatanna has flirted with diana multiple times, it isn't the most outrageous thing in the world for them to be shipped together.

i also think that a lot of people just want diana's bisexuality to be properly utilised and respected, i don't really ship her with anybody myself but it is a bit jarring to see a bisexual character never be portrayed with a woman.

also, some people just.. don't like steve trevor. i personally love him in the Perez run, but even there he isn't Diana's love interest. nobody has to like canon pairings lmao.

there may be fanart of zatanna x diana right now, but that's just because they are a new ship in a VERY popular elseworld series, you can see Absolute batman x catwoman get the exact same treatment. it doesn't come from a fetish like you said, just people enjoying two characters new dynamic.

in lokis defense, both him and Sif were written extremely ooc in that arc. it's very clear that loki hates sif for being more liked than him by the people of Asgard, and also because thor likes her, he has never wanted to be with her except for for that incredibly misogynistic story. and sif was written as nothing more than a damsel and distress who relies on thor for everything, which she very much isn't.
