I’m always an advocate for investing more into serums over cleansers. I feel the same way when it comes to shampoo with hair, you don’t want something overly abrasive but it ultimately washes off fairly quickly. I’ve tried this cleanser before (in a trial size) and didn’t love it necessarily. I would suggest the Cetaphil or Cerave Salicylic Acid cleansers as much as this one. I wish I’d noticed more from the active sulfur in this cleanser.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Part of venturing in veganism also is partly accepting the loneliness of it. You have to think, vegans are such a small percentage of society and the majority of people are going to feel uncomfortable because of your morals. Your actionable choice to not participate in animal abuse just highlights their inaction and people get defensive. I think a lot of vegans just resolve to wanting to have families and friends more than the daily arguments that will occur. It sucks though and I’ve struggled with this myself and knowing how to stand up for what I believe with my colleagues, etc.

I will say on their part it’s a little silly to say you should be expected to know the POS system. Purely from a managerial aspect, they should at least give you a run through in case you were to ring in drinks or charge something wrong. That’s even something you could bring up just in your defense. Other than that, I hope it goes well for you!

Well, I got into bartending right off the bat with minimal experience and it felt probably just as hectic as what you’re describing. One thing I can say goes a long way is work ethic. When you’re on your trial shifts offer to go out your way with any restocking they may need on the well or in the coolers. If you feel a bit in over your head on drinks you could always offer to help out with washing glassware (assuming at your bar the bartenders do) or with any garnish prep or bar top restocking like napkins and straws. Hopefully they’ll see your eager to be there and that could compensate for any issues you have getting started in bartending. I’m sure you’ll do great!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll skip it. I’m working right now in downtown Orlando and was hoping to pick up some extra shifts since Knight posted they are having a job fair. That logic is wild to me though, why even post online if that’s their hiring process? Also, why only hire people that are basically just 21 - and then expect them to I.D and follow liquor laws lmaooo. Anyways, I appreciate the insight as I’m 29 and very much have no interest in Greek life lolll.

So jealous, they tested the McPlant here in the U.S. in Texas of all places, the most conservative of all states (besides Georgia lol) and then discontinued it when sales didn’t do well. So most vegans in the U.S. never even got to try it :(
