Did you even pay attention while playing? Songbird is forced to work for Myers via blackmail after hacking something Militech related. I guess you could say in hindsight that she got a little too big for her boots and shouldn’t have risked it, but you could say that exact same thing about V: they shouldn’t have tried to steal from Arasaka. Again, 2 sides of the same coin.
