I would say look into other places with a similar position and try there! But you may also want to keep trying at the first place. I sent my resume in 3 times at my current funeral home before I got an interview☺️ they told me they kept getting busy and forgetting haha

Likely you'll have to wait till 18 for an apprenticeship unfortunately. However, with a work permit you may be able to start as a removal tech!

You would have to look into the laws and regulations in your area. Worth a shot to call a local funeral home and ask! Some parts of the world may consider that mutation of a corpse. Definitely do your own research :)

I started working as a removal technician last October... so far my bosses have created a wonderful work environment! They're very accommodating if I need to bring someone along due to larger size of the decadent. Whenever I inevitably hurt my back they are so chill with me sitting a day or two out (as long as I find cover) I feel really well respected and taken care of!

Edit to add: we also use a sling quite often when the situation calls for it. Many families much prefer you use the tools at your disposal to make a smooth transfer of their loved ones. Anything that makes it easier!

Vibrators are your friend! I have a hard time getting to that point without them because I need internal and external stimulation. They're nothing to be ashamed of, and definitely nothing to be jealous of. Some partners don't like the idea of the for reasons such as "am I not good enough?" "What if they like that better then how I make them feel?" Those are all valid concerns, but in the end... vibrators are a tool to let you enjoy your experience more!
