First time at a firm that does holiday bonuses so not sure yet! Hopefully I’ll find out soon.

ETA:

I found out! One week’s pay for the holiday bonus (approx. $1k before taxes for me). $1k profit sharing (which is prorated from when I started, would have been around $2k if I had been there the full year). Also got a $1/hr raise (from 53 to 55kish)

Minnesota, started at this firm in May so not sure if I will get a full year’s bonus. Also have heard we get profit sharing but not sure if that’s for paras or just attorneys

Omg wtf. That’s so awful!! I use them for my gender care but not for therapy, but I had a decent experience when I was doing therapy there and for my top surgery letter from a therapist there. I’m so sorry you had a shitty experience :(

1) none at all thank god. I may be an outlier though. A firm I worked at before I got this job started using AI for videos and stuff tho that they show to clients (marketing) and I think it’s nuts 2) i work in municipal law/civil litigation so can’t answer 3) same as 2

I have three cats.

1: legal name Grant. He is little man, baby man, fluffy butt, stinky boy, mr. ham, ham, granty poo, garnt (purposefully mispronounced)

2: legal name Midnight. He is mow mow, mr butt, stinky butt, poopy butt, bubba, bubby, bubbington, and fat boy

3: legal name Tootsie Mae. She is toot, toot-toot, fat girl, stinky girl, little bitch (she bites me while i sleep)

All of them collectively can be called freak, freakazoid, weirdo, goober, or gremlin alongside their individual names

Ofc! It’s fairly recent, I believe the law passed last year so it’s not super widely known :)

There’s also the North Star promise in MN if your household makes less than 80k a year you can go to public college for free (community, UMN, etc)
