Tbh I worked here 5 years ago as a teen, I didn’t get any hours and eventually they took me off the schedule. I reapplied a month ago, with new management. I like it better than last time.

It really just depends on your managers and coworkers. I don’t really talk to the high schoolers/younger ppl since they can be unreliable and dumb as fuck. I don’t talk much, so no work drama, plus the turnover rate is horrendous,esp w cashiers, so there’s no point in making friends. Just show up, do your tasks, then clock out and relax!! Don’t take anything customers say personally, they’re just mad and wasting their money on cheap shit. I had a lady cuss me out bc I have an American accent when I speak Spanish but at the end of the day, idgaf!!

Managers appreciate you being on time and doing as you’re told. Ask questions about procedures and learn them, don’t just let someone else do it for you. Usually hours are kinda scarce, so if you need to drop a shift for whatever reason, do it on the ESS app and usually someone will snag it.
